YUMMY!!!. it is very small and comfy...and the food is a natural byproduct. It is so delicious the pasta melts in your mouth. I will never forget the first time I ate there almost four years ago. I was living in Ohio and came down to visit my boyfriend. I think the food at Come Back Inn was part of the reason I moved to Louisville!
Excellent Italian food. This place is one of my all-time favorites. I lived in Louisville for years and always enjoyed coming here. This is a perfect example that excellent food doesn't have to cost a fortune. I have been to restaurants similar to Come Back Inn in Chicago and other places, and for the price and atmosphere Cime Back Inn cannot be beat.
A Bit of Chicago in the South. We live in TN. and were looking for a good italian beef sandwich. This restaurant bar has the best italian beef outside of chicago. We also tried their pizza. Very good. Looked as if it were homemade from scratch. Their fries were also homemade and very good. Needless to say we walked out of there with a "doggy bag". Place was a little hard to find but well worth the travels.
the best Italian food. this the next best thing to chicago but the best in louisville,ky. thank you for coming here with this wonderfully Italian food this next just a little Italian its is a hole lot of Italian food its is the best keep up the great work
Yum!. The food is always great! Portions are huge and the price is great. I've always been to full to clean my plate!
A fun blue-collar joint for white-collar Italian fare..
The Scene
This cafe, in a traditional blue-collar neighborhood, looks like a dive from outside. The interior won't win any design awards either, except for the elaborately carved antique bar that dominates one end of the room. Servers are casual, recognizing most of their patrons, but they get the job done. Bring your sense of humor.
The Food
Think Chicago-style Italian pub grub. Antipasto wontons, stuffed with mozzarella, prosciutto and Italian herbs, tempt your taste buds for more. The sliced beef sandwich is a standout, with tender marinated meat piled high on a fresh hoagie bun. Al dente pasta and meatballs comes smothered in the house red sauce, which is so popular, people order extra with just about anything. Pizza is thin and crispy, with four different cheeses in the topping. Pair your meal with a glass of vino or a beer from Bluegrass Brewing, and you'll leave more than satisfied.

A Diamond in the Rough. I think that the Come Back Inn has excellent food at a very reasonable price. I have never left there hungry or broke - and always have leftovers to take home. Their Chicago Italian Beef sandwich is my favorite! They also have a good wine selection. The service is also great - very friendly staff.
mercy me. The food is basic with a few outstanding specials. The attmosphere is fun, noisy and easy going. The service can get bitchy but that's sorta what you would expect at the place. I like the crab cakes. Drinks are cheap and good.
A neat little surprise!. The first time we ate here we just "happened upon it". Sure glad we did! We have returned several times since we thoroughly enjoy the food! It is very good and not overly priced!
