Great Dining. Back in Louisville and had a great dinner at this place. I recommend the shrimp and grits and the filet. Nice wine selection and courteous wait staff. Can get a little noisy though. Overall great experience
Awesome food and Ambiance. Have enjoyed Jack Frys several times in the past. Didnt expect it to be packed on a Thursday night, but it was. Maybe they didn't expect it to be quite so busy last night. Had an awesome time with my wife. The service, food and drinks were terrific. They never short you on the amount of whiskey they put in your drinks, and the food is always great. If your visiting Louisville this is a great local Place to try, and they never short you on the Jack! (Daniels) that is. LOL
Quaint and enjoyable. I live in Louisville and enjoy tasting the different foods the city has to offer. Jack frys suprised me, the exterior wasn't inviting but the yummy food was. I enjoyed grits with country ham and oysters. You should give it a try.
Romantic restaurant with a casual atmosphere offers live music, an extensive wine list and fresh seafood and meat entrees..
In Short
Don't' be fooled by the small size of the restaurant as it makes up for it with its combination of flavorful dishes and unique atmosphere, ideal for a romantic evening. Live piano jazz greet guests as they enter the eatery. While waiting for a table, diners can have a drink at the full-service bar. Notable entrees include the Poulet Rouge Fermier for $23, the veal chop for $32 and the lobster campanelle for $25.
Delicious & Romantic. My fiance loves this place, I went with her for the first time last week and it was excellent! The scallops were the best I have ever tasted- and I live on the coast. Their sea bass was on special- and it was quite special. A small place, but great decor and live music make it very comfortable and romantic. A touch loud, and definately not inexpensive- minor negatives for Jack Fry's.
I just wanted a mint julep. I was passing through Louisville last weekend and I really wanted a mint julep. Of all the places in the world I thought I could get one here. Well I was wrong, apparently they aren't in season in the bourbon capital of the world. Atleast that's what our snooty waitress told me. Give me a break. My burger was pretty good, albeit on the bloody side, I asked for medium. Don't come here looking for cheap meals either.
Mmmmmm. The folks at Jack Fry's know their way around the garden, kitchen and bar. From the beginning to the end of my visit, I was impressed and near-giddy. I want to live next door.
special occassion spot. My husband and I have spent all 9 anniversaries at Jack Fry's restaurant. We visit Jack Fry's monthly for a very romantic evening together and we believe the best menu and meal in town. I highly recommend to everyone to visit this gem of a restaurant.
The Very Best. Great restuarant serving all kinds of food. The pork chops are tops and the best chef in Louisville always a couple of wonderful specials.
