Good atmosphere. It is one of my favorite restaraunts in town. Outdoor dining --- good for dates.

The bar and list of wine are good.

Once known for its cutting-edge food, this mainstay's international-flavored dishes remain delicious and reliable.. The Scene

The original bistro on Bardstown Road gave Louisvillians casual cafe dining with international flare more than 25 years ago. What was once cutting edge is now familiar and reliable. There are three locations in all, but the original is the real gem, with outdoor dining surrounded by a walled garden.

The Food

Golden artichoke fritters, a cup of black bean soup or the grilled chicken tapas are wonderful starts. Dinner favorites include a steak marinated in orange liqueur, ginger, honey, garlic and soy, which impart both tenderness and flavor. Pasta dishes like the creamy fettucini with salmon and mushrooms are filling and well executed. There's no better place to have Sunday brunch with a bounty of fried chicken, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit and other brunch munchies spread out on a great buffet.

Good salads/soups. Server wasn't very attentive and this was at a slow time of day

A Louisville Safe Haven. Out of the places that have come & gone and the ones that that have changed over the years, The Bristol is one of the few left I really like in Louisville. Like many patrons, I also go weekly. Service is always top notch and professional. Turnover among the staff is very low. No one is treated better than anybody else. The food is always excellent and very filling. The clientele is classy, not pretentious. Customers don't to go to "people watch", but to actually enjoy a good meal. What a concept! For those who miss Pasquales and The Hungry Pelican, this should be your choice to dine out.

Great meeting place.. Wonderful food and a great place to meet after or before the theatre. etc. I like the Hurstbore location, partly because I live in the area and the decor is excellent.

Best Restaurant!. It's my husband's and my favorite restaurant in Louisville. We generally go weekly - sometimes more than once a week! The food is great and the service is fantastic.

Delightful!!. This burger, even when cooked well done, is juicy and delicious. It's unique bun (english muffin) certainly does not take away from the taste of the burger. By far, it is the best in town!

Delightful and Delicious!. The Black Bean Soup was phenomenal and service was superior. For a relaxed and casual atmosphere this is the place to visit. I will be flying to Louisville again soon and will absolutely be visiting the Bristol again.
