Rude, Conceited, Suspicous, and illogical.
I went to the store because I had recently bought a necklace. I brought the necklace to the store for a refund/credit/exchange because the glass gem slipped off the chord and shattered into pieces. The gem should have caught onto something so that it doesn't easily come off the chord. I was lucky that nobody got hurt from stepping on the glass pieces. Anyhow, I took it back and the owner said that the item was not defective and gave me a ten percent discount on my next purchase. I told her that I would buy two more earrings and will pay for the difference but she refused to be flexible.
If I had brought this to any other store, they would have give me an exchange or a store credit. The items in this store is non-refundable which is understandable if it's an earring that has been worn, but at least honor an item that is defective like a necklace that was made without any regard to breaking and possibly hurt someone... what would they have done if some young kid, stepped on the glass and cut him/herself badly?
This was a bad business move, esp with the economy being this bad..
