Great Authentic Dishes

First of all, you have to love asian food and be willing to try different tastes. Before traveling to Billings, I did some research on Thai food to find out about the most popular dishes. I'm glad I did.
Though Siam Thai is small inside, the tables are nicely covered with roses at each table and a nicely folded napkin for each person. Our waiter was the owner and she was very down-to-earth, friendly, and very helpful by estimating how many dishes we needed. There is also a separate set aside for larger groups like ours.
Not to the food, thai food is naturally spicy but you can ask them to tone it down. Balance is the key to spicy food:
1. Start with their seafood salad, it's very tangy
2. Tom Yum with shrimp is a popular spicy soup. If you want something that is very healthy and good for your body, I would pick the coconut soup. BUT, both taste very exotic or different w/ a combination that's sweet, sour, and spicy. I'm asian and I wasn't use to it.
3. The pinapple fried rice was delicious!
4. The mixed vegetables is non-spicy and tastes like a chinese dish. Excellent for balancing with the spiciness.
5. We also tried duck in red curry and pork in green curry. And again, they have that very exotic taste to them. They're both good, personally I prefered the green curry.
DRINKS:
-If you want a hot drink, ask for Jasmine tea
-YOU MUST TRY THEIR THAI ICED TEA!! It is delicious. Make sure to mix up your tea with your straw to even out the cream on top.
- Pros: Service, drinks, Food
- Cons: Very different flavorings but still good
