Worst food and place to work

by lremo2004 at Citysearch

This place has been miss managed by the compay that have owned it over the last 8 years that it has been in business.

I have watched their food be warmed by putting into a microwave for alot of it beside some of the steaks, chicken, and fried food. Everything is just cooked or reheated in the Microwave.

The management runs poor shifts at this store. The lastest only have 4 servers with only 2 of the new to the floor never served until recently. They were poorly staffied for the volume of customers. The GM (Natalie)left the building knowly that they were short staffed including no dishwasher, additional servers, and cooks. She left her own managers hanging and struggling to keep things afloot. A customer complaint comes in regarding service etc and terminates that server because the 2 complaints she had gotten was due to miss management of scheduling to "make labor" and cut cost....yet customers service goes down the drain? Esp when this server was carring extra weight and helping 2 other servers that were new...and run food...etc...

I dont recommend the food because it microwavd for reheating or cooking....And service is lacking from the top of the chain to the bottom...

worst food in any applebees anywhere

by city woman at Citysearch

This place needs a decent cook! And/ or they need to throw out old food that's been sitting around and make their food fresh before it is served.

My husband ordered a steak med rare which was served well done and appeared and tasted as if it had been boiled or microwaved!

My 'herbed' walleye was so dried out it might as well have been cooked and sitting in the refrigerator for a week before it ever hit my plate (maybe it had been) because even the glaze on this fish was like a dried coat of shiny paint.

The rice served with this fish was also dried out to such a degree that it leads me to believe this food was all made last week and then microwaved today before it was served to us.

The garlic mashed potatoes were way too salty and lacked any other flavor and again appeared and tasted as if they were reheated. The frozen vegetables were the least offensive item on our plates and that isn't saying much.

We have never eaten in an Applebee's like this before. Maybe the people running it should visit the Applebees in Rochester and find out how their food is supposed to be done.

Quite frankly, the people running this place should have their franchise yanked!
