Men will love this Salon/Spa

An unexpected, top of the line, upscale but 'mountain friendly! I was served tea upon arrival and welcomed. The Stylist was professional and made me feel right 'at home'. The cut was perfect. After this, a wonderfully refreshing massage (hot stone!), a splendid bath in their spacious Mountain Monsoon Rain Shower and then relaxation in their rest area. YES to this one!

I've had a hair updo several times in the past but this salon was the best! My hair had never looked so beautiful!! Plus they treated me like I was their only bride. I was nervous to come from out of town but all the ladies at this salon helped to make me feel welcome and relaxed so I can enjoy being pampered. I was extemely impressed with how fast and easy the stylist handled my updo. My makeup was flawless! They were so nice to let me relax in their spa area before my groom arrived. I didn't realize I needed a special tool to button the back of my wedding dress and I thought I would just have to accept that there would be loops hanging. This salon cared enough to look for something to use and they found a crochet hook and buttoned my 30+ buttons. I was so thankful for their thoughtfulness to help put my dress together right. We accepted their invite to come back before they closed and they helped my groom with unbuttoning so we could start our honeymoon right too! Wish this salon was in my hometown. What a blessing they are for a bride!
- Pros: Knowledge, Friendly, Personable, Accomodating
- Cons: There are no cons.

ruined my hair on my wedding day

First I want to say the woman doing my hot stone massage was wonderful, that is the only good experience I had with this salon. I talked to the manager when making my appointment and told her I wanted my maid of honor to have her feet and nails done with me, but we came seperate and while I was getting my massage they started on her so we only got to get our nails done together, I paid for a spa manicure and they took so long I was only able to get my nails painted and they never took it off my bill, then they charged me an additional $40 for the lenght of my hair which I told them on the phone it was to the middle of my back. I took in a very simple picture of how I wanted my hair but unless you get the typical curls and half pulled up forget about it!! I ended up trying to curl it myself there at the salon, when it came time for my make up the product is sitting out open which is very unsanitary and I assumed I would be getting a professional makeup service no chance, when I asked to have my eyelashes curled the women said they dont have curlers then after speaking with the manager she told me they do have them she didn't know why I was told that. I had to go back to my cabin and try and do something with my hair and makeup but with no time I had to go as is and my pictures turned out horrible I have not given any pictures to anyone, a few days after the ceromony I called to speak with the manager about how disapointed I was she basically blew me off and promised a return phone call, no call so I called her back a few days later and asked to speak to the owner she wouldn't even give me a contact number but said she would relay the message for the owner to call me, no call from her either. They finally ended up refunding $70 of the $320 they charged me. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE!!!! They charge hi end salon prices but they are not a hi end salon.
- Pros: good hot stone massage
- Cons: way overpriced bad comunication
Amazingly talented stylists!

I was the Bridesmaid for my cousins wedding in Gatlinburg. I walked in with my mother and they greeted us nicely and showed us to a salon chair. I requested roughly beautiful ringlets with jeweled hair ornaments. What my stylist did was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. After the wedding at the reception everyone was complimenting my beautiful hair. Absolutely an experience to remember! I would go back to the About You Salon & Day Spa anyday!
We brought along our two year old flower girl and they were nice to her and said she could sit anywhere she liked!
But anyway, an amazing experience! (And I have been to some pretty amazing salons and spas)
- Pros: Amazing hair
- Cons: A little pricey
