A great little place. This is a perfect place hot dog place. The people is the sweetest things you can just imagine. The food is extroadinary. If you want a true hot dog, you need to go to Hot Diggity its the best. Oh, and did I even mention it actually have health choices on the menu too. Its trully amazing.
Great Dogs and friendly people. We made the trip to Nashville from Huntsville,Al. for vacation and stoppped by to try the dogs. Man they were really great. The people are also very very friendly. we are on our way back over there today for lunch. I suggest the Chicago dog. it's great. we will stop in every time we are in Nashville!!!!!!!
ill have the nashville. get the nashville its the best. go with it grilled. plan on taking it to go, its hard to find a seat. fries are awesome too.
Not Diggin' It. How anyone can compare these hot dogs to a true Chicago Style Hot Dog is beyond me. They do not even have the poppy seed buns that are a "must" for a Chicago hot dog. The fries are thick and probably would have been good except that mine tasted like they had been cooked in very old grease. I wasn't impressed with the food at this restaurant at all.
Great dogs, not so good location or seating..
We made the trek from Portland, TN just to have lunch here a couple of weeks ago and the dogs were great! The fries were good too, and we liked the little paper bags that they came in. The location is not the greatest, but we went on a cold Saturday and parking was not an issue. Seating on the other hand was pretty rough. During summer it would be ok, given that you can sit on the patio and enjoy their dogs.
Overall crowded building, but great dogs!! I guess now that I think about it, in Chicago the best dogs are sold on the streets, so try these and forget about seating!
Great hot dogs!. Hot Diggity Dog is located near downtown in a area you wouldn't exactly expect a restaurant to be, but the building is colorful and inviting and the hot dogs are delicious. I highly recommend the The Nashville hot dog with mustard, onion, and coleslaw. It is not to be passed up. They offer chips and greasey fries to go with your weiners. They do offer vegetarian dogs, but unfortunately not turkey dogs. The parking is somewhat limited as is the seating, so get there early.
Superb hot dogs!. I've always wanted a really great hot dog place here in Nashville and Hot Diggity Dog has made that happen! The women work fast and the dogs are great. I've had three of the hot dogs off the menu and all three were really tasty. The prices are nice to be able to get a good cheap lunch. I've only been during the lunch hour and they work thru the line really fast. Yeah, it's a small location and there isn't a speaker outside to know when your order is up, but I think with as popular as they're getting, those things will come in due time. I went when they first opened and they've definitely improved everything they need to.
Delicious dogs and fries at a reasonable price.
First, I'll preface this by saying that I'm a vegetarian and always order the veggie dog, but I don't think I have a meat eating friend who would disagree with this review.
This place is great. You can choose from several different condiment styles from the Chicago to the Nashville (which is topped with fresh made cole slaw!) The condiments are all top quality; you're cheating yourself if you're just getting mustard and ketchup. The french fries are always fresh and some of the best in town. Dogs are $2.50 and fries are only $1.25 so you can have a great lunch for less than $5.
The women who run the place are always very friendly and really know their hot dogs!
I would recommend this place to anyone. The only downside is that it's in a bit of an obscure location (downtown on Ewing next to the Nashville Mission) but that's actually a bit of an advantage because I found it's convenient to get to no matter what part of town you're in.
THE CADILLAC OF HOT DOGS!!!. THIS PLACE HAS THE WIDEST SELECTION OF ANYWHERE IN NASHVILLE. THERE IS SOMETHING HERE FOR EVERYONE! A MUST TRY FOR HOT DOG LOVERS.
This small restaurant just south of downtown serves hot dogs every which way in a lively setting..
Vintage hot dog signs line the walls at this cozy spot, adding flair to the blue walls and red tile floor. Customers can sit at counters or outdoors at picnic tables. The crowd ranges from businessmen in suits to others who stop by wearing jeans or shorts. Dogs are named by city: the Boston comes with beans and the New York with sauerkraut. Bratwursts, Polish sausages and chili cheese fries are also popular.
