I tried out Stylecuts for the first time on Monday and I was a little iffy about trying a new salon because the prices were so low. I got a trim partial foil and pink placed under my hair and not only did it come out great the service was amazing. Everything looked clean there were little t.v's in every section so you wouldn't get bored while your hair is cooking ;). I was told that if the color didn't stay in then I could come back within two weeks no charge so unfortunately I had to because the pink was too light, and they were super nice dyed it darker, didn't even rush me. I am very pleased with my experience there and I highly recommend it!
not good service – The girl works there seams not happy what she's doing. I bring a coupon for a simple cut, she has not conversation with me, not see me either, just did a very quick cut without any style.
I was looking for someone I like and return. Not this place for sure
They do a good job – I love my haircut and you can't beat the price. I've only had 2 of the girls give me a haircut but both did a good job. They were also very friendly. Also, they have tv's at each chair and I was able to catch some of the Red Sox game the last time I went in. It was cool.
Great haircut....Great Price – Great haircut and you can't beat the price. Very clean salon and the staff was friendly. Nice touch with the plasma tv's.
Great place to get a haircut--Plasma tv's....very cool – I've been to Stylecuts a few times now, but it is my last visit that made me do a review. The salon has always been very clean, the staff very friendly and I have always been very happy with my hair cut. But 2 things really caught my attention last time. The first is now they have installed plasma tv's at each station! It really made the experience of getting a haircut cool. I watched the news and caught up on the days events and forgot where I was. Before I knew it, I was done. I felt like I was getting an expensive experience at a fraction of the price. The second thing they did that I thought was great was I decided to change how short I wanted my hair on the sides. It is a little colder now and I wanted to go a little longer on the sides. So instead of just getting a different clipper attachement, they brought over a couple of mannequin heads that had different length hair on the sides so I could see exactly how long the hair would be. It enabled me to actually see what my haircut would be like so I could pick the right length. I thought it was great idea and one I haven't seen before. I think you get a lot more than what you pay for.
Bad experiences – This is my first time messaging.
This started out as a good place with friendly staffs. My first experience was very good and unique. However over the past year, I and my 6 year old have had drastically decreasing negative experiences. Initially we thought it was a sporadic hair cutter and thought we will look past it.
However of late, we think they make us feel deliberately unwelcome. We cannot help but feel that this salon is trying to build a exclusively homogenous/uniform clientele.
The latest experience was unique and embarrassing: with a very hurried hair cutter, who twice sprayed in my eye, never bothered to look/ask my opinion. I tried to compliment the new flat panels, which was responded by a grunt meaning 'it was not meant for your kind'. The person never bothered to ask my name, but remembered another walk-in's who registered with the front desk. She unseated me very hurriedly and called on him waiting: "Toni... would you like to come now". My tip was met with another grunt and 'A good afternoon for you Sir'. Avoidance of gaze throughout.
These experiences, despite our (may be not my wife) being good tippers: 2-5$. My wife and 6 year old experienced the same in the first and second visits and have decided not to go again. Instead of being fazed off, I will continue to visit this place and see what is being done to improve. If this 'southern' attitude of the 60s and 70s is seen in metro-suburb of Boston, this is really bashful.
Not recommended – I went to Stylecuts two weeks ago, and left with uneven bangs. The bangs on the right side of my head are about half an inch longer than the bangs on the left side. I asked the stylist about it, and she said there is nothing I can do, and that I have a cowlick. She made a big point of showing me that she had cut my bangs straight, even though they looked completely lopsided.
I have had this cowlick for my entire life, but have never had a haircut look so uneven. I would have preferred that she cut it uneven and have it look straight, as apparently the other hair stylists in my life have done, than to have her cut it straight and have me look like an idiot.
No wait, Great cut, Cheap – I went in and was waiting for less than 5 minutes before they took me for a haircut. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but the woman who cut my hair was great, very friendly, and after a little bit of direction, she gave me a great haircut. And for only 13.95! My haircut was very fast, but I didn't feel like I was being rushed through at all. Also, I have to mention how clean the place is.
Editorial Review – Budget-friendly eight-chair salon handles cuts, color and styling for men, women and children.
Terrific Cut – Excellent haircut. Sandra was very helpful & did a great job. Highly recommend. Great
price for a haircut also.
