Quick Peek

In South Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime, young undercover cop Billy Costigan is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello. While Billy is quickly gaining Costello's confidence, Colin Sullivan, a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there's a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy--and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.

Action packed, twisted, yet comedic. This movie has every genre possible. I don't think it's possible for Jack Nicholson not to do great in a movie. Leonard Dicaprio, looks absolutely gorgeous, and you just want to hate Matt Damon so much (isn't that a sign of a great actor when you totally make the audience hate you) Mark Wahlberg had the absolute most horrible hair cut he's ever had (yet he was another actor you wanted to hate because he was such a punk. I feel so lucky that I was able to watch this the night before the oscars for only $3 at the Crest in Shoreline. Totally deserved best movie of the year!

Pros: Action, drama, comedy all in one

Jack Nicholson is classic Jack with an a very scary edge in this movie! His performance will likely earn him one MORE Academy Award nomination! Also incredible performances by Matt Damon and Leonardo DeCaprio! Fast moving plot with constant twists and turns, keeps you guessing until the surprising ending! THE must-see movie of the year!

Pros: Nicholson, Damon and DiCaprio shine!

Cons: Could have had more of Jack's character in movie
