Had been a client for several years in Wayland and was satisfied but mainly kept going back because the location was convenient and I liked my stylist personally.
Unfortunately, over time I began to feel taken for granted,
my stylist would run behind, which seemed to happen more and more often, the prices kept going up and after spending literally thousands of dollars there over the years I felt I should have been given some type of consideration when I was unhappy with her service periodically, especially as a client who needed to come in every 4 weeks for color and cut. My stylist really did not seem to pick up on the fact that I was unhappy and paying seventy dollars for a haircut alone that she literally could cut/trim in ten minutes because of its style seems absurd in this economy not to do everything possible to keep a good client happy. I decided to look elsewhere and realized that other salons are much more reasonable and flexible with prices (root touch up is not charged for the full price of a color like it is at D.C every four weeks) I actually spoke with the "manager" about my concerns and never heard back, and therefore, that tells me they do not care enough to hold on to me as a client so I have moved on.
I stayed a year longer than I should have, but did so out of loyalty but was not given the same consideration and now I have found a new stylist at another upscale salon
who is far more reasonable.
You would think in today's economy they would bend over backwards to keep their clients happy, especially a long term client, and I hope the owner takes a look at what is happening in Wayland as I think a big part of it is a lot of unhappy people are working there. Doesn't seem to be a lot of training going on and I know several of my friends and neighbors have tried DC and moved on a lot sooner than I did.
I hope they get their act together, and remember at the prices they charge the client should always come first.
