Editorial Review for Sticky Fingers Ribhouse – by Florrie Byrd
The Scene
Sticky Fingers, Charleston's popular local chain of barbecue restaurants, is the epitome of casual dining: dark wood, oversize booths, framed posters of blues legends peering down at you as you shamelessly gnaw that last bit of pork off the bone. Silverware comes wrapped in a hand towel rather than a napkin, and it's a blessing. Consuming a rack of Carolina-style ribs is a messy job.
The Food
You're in South Carolina, where the tea is sweet and "barbecue" means pork. Ribs come five different ways--Memphis Style Wet, Memphis Style Dry, Tennessee Whiskey, Habanero Hot and Carolina Sweet. All are falling-off-the-bone tender, but the Carolina Sweet, with its tangy, mustard-based sauce, can't be beat. A less messy--but equally tasty--option is a pulled-pork sandwich topped with coleslaw. Skip the ultra-greasy onion loaf starter.

Nothing special. Pulled pork was served on a hamburger bun. Meat was dry and portion was small to average. Nice feature good selection of side dishes you can substitute for fries.
Pros: Allowed substitutions of side dishes.
Cons: Portions were smaller than at other similar type restaurants.
