AMAZING! Best Massage ever. – Well I have been a regular client of Sue's for almost 3 years - by which I mean I have seen her the same time , same place every 2 weeks. ( See my last review in 2009 ) She's still amazing. Great hands, amazing intuition and compassionate, kind and an amazing therapist. She would do absolutely anything for her clients and has a well deserved reputation in the area for being the go-to therapist.
A friend told me about the 2 negative reviews ( I had recommended Sue and she checked her out ) so I had to respond. I am so upset on her behalf. Sue called me and I'm sure, all her other clients personally to advise us of her absence and to help us to reschedule. I was obviously very understanding and concerned. I cannot understand a person who would write a bad review because of a cancellation under these circumstances and then demand an additional free treatment. as reimbursement I would say read between the lines and take it for what it is. They didn't get what they wanted.
Sue would never treat anyone with less than the utmost respect and consideration. As a colleague, client and fellow Therapist I can say that the relationship between client and therapist is a two way street with mutual resect. It's personal and not always a match but I will say this none of us need clients who are demanding and disrespecful.
As for the other review. If Sue was talking then so were you. Take some responsibility. Sue takes her cue from me. We can talk then if I stop so does she. Wouldn't it have been better to stop talking and say something rather than complain after. As for the sheets they are not old ( fact) and comfy.
Sue - I consider you a vital part of my life. Thank you for being the person you are. Ignore people like this. It means nothing. Their comments say so much more about them than it does about you.
See you next week!
I found Sue through a Groupon and have to say I couldn't be more pleased. An excellent professional who gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. She even gave me extra time as I was having a serious shoulder problem. My first session we talked and got to know each other my next session we were quiet and I was amazingly relaxed. She has a wonderful office space and the most comfortable sheets, memory foam pillow and electric table - not one of those narrow hard tables. I have now found my new therapist. I think Sue is wonderful.
Technically, Sue was OK, but she talked the entire time even though I asked for a calm, quiet session. I found her through Groupon. I would not go back. She complained all three times about how many Groupon calls she had and how it was so exhausting and overwhelming. She talked about her personal problems. I was not able to relax and since I'd already spent the money I felt stuck with what I got. The sheets were old and full of pilly things which were irritating. Once she called to say she had a cancellation and could I please come earlier on that day so she could leave earlier. She seemed annoyed that I couldn't rearrange my schedule. Overall, I would not recommend going to her if you want any kind of relaxing, indulgent experience.
Disappointed – I had high hopes for this but I'm disappointed with Sue. She tries to act funny and friendly but that is where it stops. As a client for massage, my wife and I were looking for someone who is sensitive to their client's needs. Instead what we received was repeated complaints about how GroupOn made a mistake and overbooked her.
We also felt second rate citizens going in with a GroupOn voucher.
Yesterday I was supposed to have my last massage. When I went there, the office was locked. I emailed her asking for the reason and requested additional massage for this incident since I spent an hour of my work hours trying to accommodate this.
I received an email from her saying her mother-in-law passed away few days ago and she can't really offer anything additional.
She also said she will let me transfer the groupon from my wife's name to me. The funny thing is she had already agreed to this transfer otherwise I wouldn't be going there in the first place.
Over all, we're very disappointed with the services and her attitude.
Exceptional Massage! – This was the best massage I have ever had - and I've had many. If you are like me you've searched for a massage therapist only to be disappointed look no further. Susan asked questions, listened to my reply (not as common as you might think!) and gave me the treatment I needed and asked for. I have seen her for both a very deep and theraputic treatment and a more relaxing massage. Both were amazing. I have now found my new therapist. Thank you .
Amazing massage. – I am 4 months pregnant and, after my therapist moved away, I have been asking around for a knowledgable and skillful therapist. After Susan's name came up for the fifth time " She's the best ever" I made an appointment. It was even better than I expected and I am someone who has tried many therapists and techniques. I am looking forward to my next treament and know that Susan will take me safely through my pregnancy and beyond.
Best massage in Boston! – UPDATE. NEW SPACE 8/04/07 - I Have just been to see Susan in her wonderful new space in Arlington. The parking is easy, there is an elevator inside the building and her room is HEAVEN! It reflects Susan and her treatments - calming and serene. You are at peace and relaxed and that's before the massage.Congratulations on your move. Can't wait for my next treatment.
PREVIOUS POSTING: Susan is wonderful. She is experienced, professional and puts you at ease immediately. She listens to you and asks questions so she can give you the best treatment possible. She also found problems that I had forgotten tell her about! I have tried other therapists ( some on this site ) and they don't live up to the reviews. Susan does. She's always busy but will always get you in in an emergency - try to book ahead so you won't be disappointed.
Awesome massage! – I found Susan on citysearch and liked the reviews - my comments: Believe them! Awesome massage. Very deep but not painful. She did exactly what I asked her to do and I left feeling amazing. I went in with hardly any movement in my neck and afterwards it was pain free and back to normal. I have already made another apt. and am going to tell everyone I know.
Thank you so much.
Truly wonderful. Thank you! – What a wonderful massage! My boyfriend gave me a gift certificate for my birthday and I'm so glad he did and that he did his research. Susan is truly gifted and I intend to become a very regular client. Thank you.
Best massage in Boston! – Looking for a new therapist? Look no further. This is the one. Read the reviews as they are all true! Her treatments are wonderful. Completely tailored to your needs. She has a great space and a wonderful table. She's intuitive, she listens and she will become like a close friend.
Thank you for taking care of me! Can't wait until my next appointment.
