In Short – By using high-protein organic flour and fresh ingredients (roasted cherry tomatoes, homemade sausage, white bean spread), Stone Hearth Pizza's namesake pies aim to please suburban gourmands. The pizzas come in only one size (11-inch), and are baked in a stone hearth oven. Fresh salads are also available; varieties include Caesar with homemade croutons and arugula with roasted Portobello mushrooms, Cobb Hill cheese, olive oil and thyme dressing.
Gourmet in the Suburbs

I'm generally pretty biased when it comes to dining outside of the city, but Stone Hearth was a pleasantly surprising treat. I didn't feel the menu selections were necessarily "gourmet" but the special I ordered definitely was. I found the dough to be incredibly tasty, I'm assuming it is the same dough that made the salad bowl, which was really cool and yummy. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. The restaurant was friendly and welcoming. I look forward to my leftovers and then returning for more.
- Pros: Pizza, family place, kid-friendly
- Cons: small space

Whether it's The Bean (love The Bean!!) or The Cheeseburger or the Farm Fresh - my wife and I have had Stone Hearth's healthy, hearty, yet light pizzas on no fewer than four occasions and have been duly impressed each time.
Most recently we ate at the resto and the service couldn't have been better or more helpful (kudos to the waiter that gave us a sample of a hitherto unknown yet locally-source light beer [that wasn't Sam Light!) - a sample that led to two large glasses on our table.
Well worth the trip to and even better than the extraneous hassles (e.g., parking) of sit-down pizza elsewhere (e.g., Harvard Sq.).
