Best mexican, hands down. Chile Burrito is BY FAR the best mexican place in Nashville. I frequent the Chile Burrito in Brentwood. The Brentwood store is owned by the same people who own the downtown store. Great place and great people working here. This is the only mexican place I recommend to my friends.
WOW!!!.
I'm new to town and a co-worker of mine immediately recommended The Chile Burrito Co. It was so enthusiastic I was a little hesitant and thought they must be getting kickbacks. I soon found out a. they were absolutely right, and b. they weren't getting kickbacks; its that good.
I am a huge fan of the steak burrito and taco salad. Everything I have eaten there has been tasty, fresh, and hot. The steak burrito actually tastes like a steak burrito. I have been place after place that you get an average quick meal. So when i tasted the steak burrito that tasted like i grilled the steak myself - which is saying something - I didn't know what to say.
I would highly recommend The Chile burrito company. Thanks!!!
Why eat here with so many good options?. The food is over-rated and I am surprised by all the reviews - so take this as 1 opinion. I just don't think this food compares with Baja Burrito, Moe's, Las Palmas or La Hacienda. The Chicken is dry, the cheese isn't even mexican cheese - it's a piece of meunster, seriously on a burrito? I will not be trying it again and the service was sub par at best.
Insane portions. I have been eating at The Chile Burrito since it opened and I worked just across the street at the L&C tower downtown. Since then I've moved on and I now work down at the Nashville City Center off of Union. Anyways, I still make the walk to Chile Burrito because of two reasons: Fish Tacos and the Nachos. The portions are nearly at insane levels for the nachos, so don't eat lunch there and expect to have anything for dinner. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the fish tacos. They are simply amazing. They take great care to make it well - the ingredients are all very fresh and well worth the cost. For a fast-food Mexican place, it really is hard to beat.
Best Taco Salad. Damn if this isn't one of the best lunch spots downtown! I started going as soon as they opened and ate there at least once a week while working downtown. Huge lunches under $10, fresh made right before your eyes. I have always received exceedingly friendly service from the fellows who make the food. The taco salad (with avocado added), and their chile vinaigrette dressing is my favorite thing to have. Largest size of burrito is bigger than your head and will feed you for two days. Fish tacos are great too. The line is often out the door but always moves quickly!
Steak Salad, Yumm!!.
I am salivating just thinking about this place. They have, hands down, the best steak salad I have ever had (well, you order the salad and then you pick all your fixin's) I love their chipotle ranch dressing, I love the tortilla strips on top of the salad, I love how their steak tastes, I love their black beans, I love the cucumber, omg, I love it all...
Like Joe's comment on their nachos, I always walk away stuffed. For a less ravenous person than me, a salad could probably go for two meals. Just be prepared for a line out the door if you go exactly at lunchtime. Plus you may or may not be able to find a seat so be prepared to take it to-go
The Best of the Best. This place is beyond fantastic. When i worked downtown I ate there at least once a week and visited the one in Brentwood on the weekends. For the downtown location I would avoid going at around 12:15. 11 is good, one is good; around 12 the line is out the door. They move the orders through really quick but finding seating is difficult. Definitely try the nachos and add a little cilantro. Their fruit tea is AMAZING! It definitely beats the fruit tea at Baja Burrito, Calypso, etc. The queso is pretty tasty too!
Burritos are good, but horrible customer service..
I've had 3 bad experiences with this place, but always went back b/c the burritos were good. I will now not go back there ever again.
1. I went to Chile Burrito for lunch, and they gave me the wrong order (to go). The only way they remedied the situation was by me having to walk all the way back to Chile Burrito, and they gave me my correct meal (cold).
2. I went to Chile Burrito 30 min before they were to close, and they wouldn't let me order anything but chips and queso.
3. They charged me twice and would only give me a refund if I came back down there and ordered the same exact thing I had previously ordered.
I will NEVER eat there again.
To die for Mexican!!. The food here is awsome. I usually get a steak burrito with chips and a side of queso. If you have not tried it yet, I definatly recommend it!!
Best Mexican food in the Nashville area!. I go to this place quite frequently. I have also taken several clients here for lunch and they love it as much as I do! Try the chicken nachos. The queso is incredible!
