not your average restaurant in a good way!. i have spent a lot of time at rumours 12th over the past 5 years. i've seen it grow and become what it is now. its small and intimate, which makes you feel like you're the only one in town that knows about this hidden gem on 12th ave south. the patio is a great place for people watching in the summer. ( and the $5 wines for happy hour dont hurt either)

the food is fresh and the menu changes daily. which is good if you like surprises.(i do.) they also have a menu with its regular menu options: cheese plates, appetizers and small plates. i love this place and i can't believe all these bad reviews on here. there is no other place in town like it-not even rumours east. they are original and truly one of a kind. i will be back.

GREAT place to dine and hang with friends. One of my absolute "go to" places in Nashville. Makes me think of wine bars in Europe. Small portions(cheese plates, hummus, salads etc) or large portions (anything from crab cakes, fish, scallops, mussels...you name it) for food options and everything I have had there is fantastic. The wine list is always a hit with versatile lovely tasting wines. The servers and owners really know their stuff and you can tell they are handpicked for knowledge. They are always ready and willing to make a suggestion and have not failed yet! This is a must visit for fun and great atmosphere with great wine and food to boot!

Rumours - Great Neighborhood Wine Bar. Rumours is a great for a date night or girls night. There is a large patio - great for warm weather - and a large wine list. The wine can get expensive but there are some good, reasonably priced choices specials - ask your server. The menu options are limited but delicious. The servers are very friendly and attentive. Rumours is my "go-to" restaurant.

Rumours: Good Wine but server/manager was unprofessional. I "booked" the backroom for a party and was told it would be no problem. Upon arrival, we found that another group had been given the room so we shared it! There was literally no room to turn around. The wine was fine and the chocolate torte was a hit, but despite agreeing to break up the bills at the end of the night we received ONE HUGE BILL with NOTHING ITEMIZED!! I should have insisted that if they couldn't itemize something, we wouldn't pay for it! Furthermore, she (the manager/hostess) included gratuity but then had places asking for additional "maitre d" tip, etc. Maybe its a sign of the timeis, but I am getting sick and tired of second rate (or worse) service expecting to be rewarded. I can say that the group was likely the highest earning 20+ group of people they can expect to not see back soon.

Great cheese plate, not a great place for happy hour.. I went to Rumours for the first time recently to meet a friend for happy hour on a beautiful day. There were available seats but they are not at all comfortable and our table was wobbly, a problem when glasses of wine were on the table. The table/chair setup wasn't very complementary and I ended up banging my knee on the metal twice and getting little bruises.

I was surprised that there was no happy hour promotion or special and I would never go back at that time, because to get the most basic wine for $8 a glass at happy hour isn't a great deal.

I did love the cheese plate- four cheeses with bread and crackers and other things. And the wine was good, but I prefer true stemware but they use stemless.

It was overall a good place with good service but overpriced for happy hour and they need to improve the patio seating.
