Shopping >Cosmetic Market Inc
Great Store, Staff, and Products.
I love the Cosmetic Market- they literally have everything you need ( and some fabulous things you can not live with out!) Nars, Smasshbox, Lorac, Bliss, Molten Brown Bare Escentuals, Perricone, Skin Ceuticals, and the list goes on...The staff is bubbly and fun- they were helpful when needed and let me browse when I wanted.
I will definitely continue to shop there- it is the Beauty Store in Nashville
I feel beautiful!. I just got home from a holiday shopping expedition, and the highlight was definitely the cosmetic market! The sales staff was so helpful... there to answer my questions but not harassing me. They really know their stuff too. One of the girls showed me some makeup tips for a holiday party this weekend. The store also had almost too much to choose from. I came for some Model Co, but left with some new Philosophy holiday gift sets and also some Kevin Murphy shampoo and conditioner! I'll be back to get my hair cut. =)
DON'T DO IT !!!.
Ok, so....this was my first stop to The Cosmetic Market and it will certainly be my last! Not only are they out of stock of everything I wanted, but the employees aren't exactly what I would consider "retail sales staff". For a company who I hear claims to be the best in Nashville (perhaps they forgot there is a delightful Sephora in Green Hills Mall for those who don't mind malls), they need to rethink their ways to get my business. There were girls chatting with one another on the sales floor and not helping clients at all (two of which were covered head-to-toe in tattoos). Mind you, I don't mind people being artistic at times, but the sales floor is not the place for expressing your inner "rockstar" in my opinion. They need to be more polished.
Also, as I was shopping, this particular lady would not let me shop in peace without attempting to cram Therapy Systems skincare down my throat!!! I've tried the stuff before I explained, and it does not work! She kept trying to divert my attention to the line, when finally I found out by chatting with her that they own the line and get commission on this product in the store. No wonder why she was pushing it on me! I felt sorry for her actually, as they were not busy and she probably needed the money.
Point is: Don't bother with this store! Just find The Green Hills Mall and shop with Sephora or Macy's. I see Sephora is now carrying luxury brands such as YSL, Laura Mercier, and Givenchy. With these selections and a friendly (classy) staff that is not on commission, it's the way to go!
Mediocre but hair stylists are great. Out of stock on most popular products. All of the *good* makeup artists are gone leaving only the mediocre behind. The did enjoy the two stylist in the back bar, they are wonderful stylists! I could not make an appointment with my favorite artist because all appointments are made on a post-it note or register tape and have to go through the manager, So I went to MAC in Greenhills mall. Seems like every I went over to the Therapy Systems section I was ambushed by associates wanting a commission. *thumbs down*
Best place to shop for Cosmetics and Skincare. To: Southuhn Belle -This is Ashley from the Green Hills store...just letting you know I am with The Cosmetic Market once again and so very excited! Please come visit The new location in the Hill Center. You mentioned that you enjoy our fragrances- we now carry Acqua Di Parma, Bond No 9, and much more. Our store hours are 9:30 am - 8:00 pm M-S and 12:00 pm -6:00 pm Sunday. Don't forget the Cool Springs store! Come join us anytime- sip on coffee and relax around the store. You will enjoy your time with us. I stayed a devoted customer through the time I left- I had the chance to experience my time in the store as an actual shopper. The energy was great, Very good customer service, and the staff always introduced me to new products and trends. The best coupons are even offered- if you visit a location- sign up and give your e-mail address and you will get a coupon to print off and use in the store!
Great selection of bath and body care items. Although I prefer the makeup brands that Private Edition carries (higher end products), I think the Market has a better selection of shower gels, lotions, etc. The staff sometimes comes across as inexperienced, and some of the recent hires (since December '06 or so) are a bit pretentious. Some of them don't seem to have much experience with helping customers pick out cosmetics, either, so either know what you want or be prepared to return the item. I do love that they carry a wide variety of fragrances from Trish McEvoy to Fresh and always have the newest OPI nail colors (sometimes before the nail salons do), and the snacks are delicious. I'm sad that Ashley is no longer with the store - she always knew what to suggest if I was having trouble deciding which products I needed and was so sweet.
This one-stop-shop near the Mall at Green Hills offers more than 150 cosmetic brands..
Citrus-colored walls keep the mood bright as everyone from young career girls to hip moms explore rows of skincare, makeup and bath products in wire shelving. While the apron-clad staff do up faces with Lorac and Urban Decay eye shadow and lipstick at makeup stations toward the front, skin-care enthusiast peruse the aisles for brands like Ahava and N.V. Perricone, M.D. Other popular lines include Philosophy, Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier and Jack Black for men.
Didn't live up to expectations.. I went to the Cosmetic Market hoping to find a less pushy version of Sephora. While the store had tons and tons of products, many different brands than offered at Sephora, the staff was even pushier. When I told them I was just browsing, checking out the selection, they proceeded to watch me with a close eye, as If I was going to shoplift. Very dissappointed with this store. They did have tons of variety, but I will stick with Sephora!
