In Short – Like an urban love nest circa 1974, P6 is a commotion of oranges, reds and golds, with low-hanging light fixtures, water walls, swivel stools and bucket seats. Up-to-date appetizers include rock shrimp lettuce wraps, blue crab-and-salmon bisque and sausage-sprinkled bruschetta. An extensive menu features grilled filet mignon with goat cheese crumbles and braised coconut halibut. Salads, pastas and sandwiches are offered at lunch. Dessert include chocolate molten lava cake and vanilla bean creme brulee.
Hip - Fun - Location doesn't match the vibe

Trendy ambience welcome by the locals who were looking for somewhere to go for a nice night out (instead of driving into LA) Eclectic (fun) menu, dishes were all delicious (tried a variety of appetizers, side dishes, entrees and dessert) Can get loud in the later hours. Great energy, beautiful people - and great people watching. Great bar area to lounge have appy's and drinks. Friendly wait staff. Sunday afternoon a great time to go when it's quiet, sit in the bar area, have some great eats and drinks to watch a game. Outdoor patio with firepit looks fun too.
- Pros: Yummy food, Beautiful People, Great Bar
- Cons: Pricey, Great ambience in the Restaurant - but situated in a residential area/mini mall
Best neighborhood restaurant in Conejo Valley

I had read all the good and the bad when I decided to take the plunge at P6. My friends had recommended the "678" properties so I was expecting good things. Coming from NYC where I had lived for 31 years, I had lofty expectations for food and service.
I arrived early for dinner and went to the bar to wait for my GF. The vibe was very cool, and the atmosphere was as stylish as I have seen on the West Coast. There were pretty bartenders slinging drinks so I grabbed a Lucky beer (so good) and took in the scene. Young professionals and some 40's to 50's in the crowd.. Great music mix streaming through the lounge and bar.
My GF arrived and we were seated in the main dining room. Our server was very attentive and knew everything about the menu. We took his suggestions and started with the tartare and crisps. They were UNBELIEVABLE. We also shared the chorizo dates. A very creative and original dish. For entrees, we had the filet and the "fantasy burger." The filet was excellent, very flavorful with an awesome asparagus side covered in melted cheese. If you are going to put a burger on your menu, then it better be the best. I had a bite of the burger and it was killer. I'll put it this way. It was so good that I came back for lunch the next day and ordered it for myself. Melted gouda cheese and sauteed onions. Wow.
Anyways, the service was first class; very professional, yet not formal. I am always impressed when I leave for the bathroom and come back to find my napkin refolded. A classy touch. Our server was very well educated on the menu and coursed us perfectly through dinner. He paired a Lincourt Chardonnay and a Neal Cabernet to complete our dining experience. I am very impressed with the service standards at P6.
I have found my new neighborhood "favorite."
Sundays rock @ P6

I stopped in P6 for a drink last Sunday not knowing anything about the place and was blown away! I sat at the bar and a local there suggested I try one of the Sous Chef's specials. I guess he is in charge on Sundays. The best pasta dish I have ever had! Grilled shrimp over fettacini. So simple and so amazing. The food was super fresh. The staff was friendly and enthusiatic. The crowd was welcoming. I ended up spending a lot more time there than I had planned on. I even tried the Sous's special dessert! This guy is good. I eat out all over Hollywood and New York and he rocked my world! A Chef to watch for sure.
From what people at the bar were saying Sundays are the day to be there and I will. Very pleasantly surprised.
- Pros: Creative, fresh food, genuine staff, talented Sous Chef
- Cons: none that I could see
