PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM FIRST MANAGEMENT

My family and I moved into Parkway Townhomes 2 years ago this month, we have never been late on rent or caused any problems and hold a very clean household! I would say we are the ideal tenants. About 6 months ago I came out of my house and my car had been towed out of the parking lot, cost me $200 to get it out, for being a tenant, they said I did not have permission to park here, (remind you we had been here a year and a half now). Today we get home and we owe $100 for having a hamster in our house we were sitting for a friend (1 day) so now we owe for that. And to top it off we have to leave earlier than what out lease stated and have to have a professional carpet cleaner for the entire place (not cheap). This has been a nightmare for our family. The managers laugh when we call to talk, they do not care about anyones financial complications. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent from these people, it was really a bad choice for us and know now to never make this choice again! And one last thing they have never sprayed for insects (ants & spider problems), checked fire alarms (you pay for any problem-plumbing-fire alrams-nothing out of their pcokets), but wait they did change our AC filters after 2 years....yuck!

Avoid First Management at all costs!

I had heard from, well, everyone that First Management had the worst reputation in town. Despite the warning signs, I lived in an apartment that they owned and it will end up being the worst year of my life having to deal with these people. "Management" is a loose term, more like minimum service and maximum effort put into screwing over the tenant.

These people are slumlords. They buy run down properties, don't fix them up, and then people end up even getting hurt just by living in them. Recently, someone fell through the floor in a building that was run by First Management, if that gives you any idea.

Do yourself a favor and save a year-long hassle, because I guarantee, if you go with them, you won't stay with them...

• Pros: None.
• Cons: Worst service, reputation, in the Midwest.

Avoid First Management

First Management is horrible..avoid their properties at all costs. They treat their tennants bad and try to nickel and dime them for everything. I can't say i've ever heard one positive comment about them during my six years in lawrence. Save yourself the trouble..you will be happy you did!
