Tips for Wild Side

I was skeptical after reading poor reviews. I saw a little Italian Greyhound online & knew I had to meet her. The gal spent 20min sitting on a bench w/me, giving me info on foods, temperament, & making sure we would be a good fit – not that I was just smitten w/a puppy. I’ve adopted & purchased dogs from breeders & this puppy is hands down the most well mannered, sociable, cuddle bug.

We did have an accident the 1st night (in bed w/me in it) but I think she was just scared. I’ve actually been taking her to work & she will play & then go right in her crate when she is sleepy. She doesn’t bark or whine, took to a harness & leash w/no fussing, potties on demand & I was very impressed w/the quality of food they serve, freeze dried raw.

I called back today hoping I would get the same gal, to thank her & promise to bring her back soon for a grooming (free in my coupon pack, nice!) Hopefully they don’t have her brother when I go back in or I might have puppies times 2!

Best Place To Buy Dogs. Great fun store to shop. Very knowledgeable staff and great healthy happy puppies. They have a selection of stuff most of the bigs stores do not have.

Hooray for Puppy Mills...... Overcrowded dog kennels, with questionable histories (which is a REALLY nice way of saying they buy their puppies from puppy mills), I love that they sell mix breed dogs as designer dogs with RIDICULOUS prices. 1 out of every 4 dogs has giardia or Parvo. I would never buy from this awful place.

Worst OWNER ever!!!!. The OWNER is completely rude. I was asking an employeee about a bird in the store I was interested in purchasing, specifically the age, some random lady starts rambling on about info on it......I had no idea who she was or why she was even talking to me. So the first employee who knew nothing directed me to another. He asked me if I had questions so I again asked about the age of the bird, he said he would try and find out. So that first crazy rambling lady runs from the back with the second employee yelling at me telling me "Im the owner of the store!! I told you I dont know how old it is. You want me to lie? Fine its 4 years old, put on the paper its 4!" So here is everyone staring at us, employees and customers.....how embarassing for that OWNER. So I walked out with my daughter in tow crying her eyes out.

On top of that I drove 30 mins out of my way just to go to that specific store. The place smells HORRIBLE like animal crap. None of her employees know anything about the animals. And neither does she. It took 20 mins of standing in front of a cage just to get yelled at. Also the store is WAAAY over priced.

Would NOT reccomend this store at all.

Best indie pet shop ever!. Forget the big box stores. If you're looking for sound advice about pet care and products, this is your place. The owners and staff not only care deeply about the animals in their shop, but they care about your pets at home too! Wild Side is a great resource for healthy, natural pet foods and they also handle a wide variety of exotic animals that most pet stores won't touch. Whether you're looking for a new pet or just a better way to take care of your current critters, you should definitely make a trip to Wild Side soon!

no good. this place has some cool animals but are you serious? nobody knows what in the hell they are talking about and you'll get completely different answers from everyone you talk to. dont believe me? go in and ask one person something and ask another and youll get totally different answers! if a person is going to get hired at an exotic pet store, they should be trained on EVERY animal. they are OVER priced and their store is a mess. water all over the floor...its great that theres an exotic pet store around, but it just seems like being the only one around, theyd treat their customers better. a few of them are very rude. i heard they dont take very good care of their animals, and i have to believe it seeing as how they treat their customers. if youre going to sell your animals for double what other people do, take care of them! feed them the right diet, hold them from day one, and treat your customers with some respect! stop giving different answers to the same question!!!

Better then a chain store BY FAR. I went to this store last week to see what all the fuss is about. I was greeted at the door by a young man who was quite polite and asked if I had any questions your was looking for anything in paticular. When I said no, he was still polite and told me to take my time looking around and ask if I had questions.

I saw the neatest animals at this store! Things I've never seen before in any store EVER. Different types of squirrels, a black chinchilla, several shop cats that live there, a rooster and a duck that live there too and so much more.

I ended up buying a bag of food for my golden retriever on the recomendation of one of the staff because she has always had bad skin and we've been on and off meds from our vet for several years. Well just barely 2 weeks later and her skin is already looking less irritated and she's not itching at all! The staff member told me that feeding some popular brands of food is similar to me eating fast food all day and that that was probably why she was itching - probably food allergies.

I will defenetly be back to this store again!

worst pet store in the state. this "store" has the worst customer service of any pet shop I have ever been to , I ordered a wheel through them which I was told would be a week at the most , it has been 2 months and still no wheel , when I call to get answers I either get hung up on or treated with no respect , also about a year ago I bought a hedgehog from them and within a week this hedgehog that I had gotten very attached to died , the vet told me it was a disease that it was born with and that anybody who was handling and selling animals should have been able to detect this , they overcharge for almost everything in thier store and they feed thier gliders unhealthy food , last but not least i ordered a cage through them the very first time I ever went to the store and never got a call back that should have been a clue to never go back
