Z Hair Academy

A Student's Review. I am actually a student at this school and I am giving a review for BOTH service and for being a student. As a student I hate reading the bad reviews because I know some people that have caused similar things. Like one person said, you take a chance going into this school with who you get. 95% of the students truely care about what they are doing but the rest don't and it shows in their skills. Unfortunetly, you can't ask for a senior student and actaully get it. This school is all about equal opportunity.... You CAN NOT come here and EXPECT to get a cut that you can get from somone who has been cutting hair for years. You have to be to very VERY clear what you want, even if you aren't sure you still have to work with the student and instructors. You have to make sure you say ANY concerns or else the students won't know what is wrong. Don't be afraid to hurt our feelings.... we need it!

As for getting services done I have had nothing but good experiences, but I am not afraid to speak up and tell them if I want something done differently. When you highlight hair you can get crazy results; that is your risk and you shouldn't get mad about it. You need to speak up and say something to the instructor or student; NOT ON HERE!

I am very sorry for anyone who has had a bad experience here, but please don't give up on the school; we are students trying to make you happy.…

student observation concerns. I have my concerns with Z's and how they watch there students. the person cutting my hair was having problems with her scissors and the needed fixed and trying to cut my hair it kept bending my hair instead of cutting and the person checking over her was having the same problem and did'nt correct the problem. Is'nt that what the teachers are supposed to do correct the problem?

I have been to Z's several times before and not had this problem.

Concerns of being to easy going I guess with the students…

scalp burned, non existent hairline, very unhappy student. i heard how wonderful this hair salon was and how inexpensive the prices were..not. after trying out this academy a left with a burned scalp, bleached out hair, and empty pockets. they bleached my hair the first time so bad i looked like the guy from tgifridays commercial. i told them i just wanted my roots touched up and some of the bronzy blonde pieces fixed. well now my hair was all over yellow. they toned my hair and now its white. i just wanted to get out of there. i had to pay for the toner and horrible root touch up. $75 was not worth it. i could have gone to a high end salon for a 100x better job. don't waste your time with these amateurs.…
