Poor Customer service/ Horrific Service.
Worst salon experience ever! I spoke with a Shannon Jackson, who is the manager, when I had to change my apt date. She was very snobbish an we had a slight arguement over the fact that it is a fifty percent deduction from you credit/debit card or gift certificate for calling in an cancelling your apt and not a hundred percent, as it clearly states on the website. I was put on hold for a 5 minute wait were no one apparently knew how to press the hold button and i could hear the complaints in the background. Who does this lady think she is, I know the rules in this salon, I cant even deal with people today, Laughter, Just tell her the owner will call her back, im not dealing with it! Who was talking I do not know. However, when the phone was picked back up from a "new" receptionist by the name of Patty who was very kind, I had to let her know I would not be coming in at all due to the fact I felt I would have been discrimanated against because I had called in to move my apt and had talked with a higher authority who was very ticked off at the situation.
The way the situation was handled was incredibly poor. What buisnesses need to realize is that Life Happens and to accomadate somone is the best way to benefit from your buisness. We all know buisnesses get busy but the main goal is to keep them busy and accomodate all needs no matter how big or small, that is how you obtain and keep the most clientel. I will never again book or suggest this salon to anyone and I do know a lot of people in this tiny state of RI so they have lost on a great deal of buisness just by word of mouth which is the best form of taking in buisness. So long 108 salon & day spa.
Terrible Customer Service. This salon is not worth the trip karen the owner doesn't stand behind her commitment to the customers. I recently purchased a gift certificate and misplaced it she would not even discuss any type of service for my $100.00 dollar purchase. I think this is a bad way to run a business and plan to let all my friends and family know about this so called business
So, I admit it... I let my eyebrows go. I ignored my tweezers for too long, and started looking a little too hairy as of late. However, I don't think that my lazy upkeep deserves the lopsided situation that I now find my self in.
The people at 108 were nice enough, friendly... and they squeezed me right in. I've never had my eyebrows waxed while having my head rest in the shampooing sink (ouch), and don't think I ever will again. The waxer was nice, but did not discuss how I wanted my eyebrows shaped at all. Maybe it was the fact that she had to come at my eyebrows from the side, and her perspective was off, but my left eyebrow is much fuller than my right. AND, my right eyebrow has a nice little chunk taken out of it. At first I thought that the leftover wax was making my eyebrow hairs go in funny directions, but no, it was the fact that too much got waxed on one side. And only one side! Also, my arch was totally ignored, and now i have a dumpy little lumps for eyebrows. Oh well.
I also want to clarify: I'm not upset about my eyebrows, because I know that they will grow back (clearly); but am not looking forward to tweezing tonight when I get home.
Wonderful Spa. The staff are extraordinary. They go out of their way to pamper you and give you the best experience they possibly can. You will always walk away satisfied with any of their unique services. I highly recommend Rayna Powers and Deb Thayer when you want to pamper yourself.
