Since his Jan. 1 proposal, Johnson said, he has received phone calls, letters and some personal threats from people who object to their marriage plans.
"You take it for what it is -- the less educated, the less willing to change," Johnson, 21, of San Dimas, Calif., told the Idaho Statesman for its Tuesday editions. "But we're not acting like we're naive to all the stuff that's going on. We know what's been said. We're going to make sure we're safe at all times. It's an amazing day for us, and we'd hate to have it ruined by someone."
"It's really sad because a lot of people that are probably doing it are the same people who were cheering me on," Johnson said.
A Shadow if its former Glory

21 Commerce is one of the places I frequented quite often over a year ago. Good drinks, nice atmosphere and good specials made this place a great place for social events as well as entertaining clients. I recently went back to find that there had been a recent management change and many of the specials, (Industry Night) that the otherwise average martini bar execptional, had been discontinued. The change in management is evident from street side at 10pm. The line that wrapped around the building that was signature for Thursday nights is now non-existent. The Loft, while having plenty of overwhelmingly loud music, was empty. The new management should take notice of this as the atmosphere is nice, the loud music no longer has drink specials to make this place an ideal choice over neighboring upscale bars (The Blue Olive being the most notable). To avoid the loud music of the Loft I will gladly drive an extra 30 seconds to get to The Blue Olive now there are no drink specials to entice my business.
- Pros: Close Parking, Nice Atmosphere
- Cons: Recent Management Change, Bass from the Loft.
nice place to meet before dinner or after work

We like to stop in this place before dinner at El Gaucho or the MeltingPot (one block away). It's also a great "let's meet for a drink after work" place. One big martini is plenty if you are going places and I always love the Dungeness Crab Soup!
- Pros: nice choice of top shelf martinis
