Cafe Django is the one place you must eat at while in Bloomington. Despite the casual name, Cafe Django is a high-class eatery with a menu to prove it. If you do not like to try new foods, you should stop reading now and walk away, because you won't find a burger and fries on Cafe Django's menu. What you will find is authentic cuisine from around the world. Owned and operated by a family once blessed to meet the Dahli Llama himself, Cafe Django is food for the soul. More than just a restaurant, Cafe Django is also a jazz bar, complete with great music and drink. Order the pita, a smoothie, or just a cup of coffee and settle in. Perfect for dates, getaways, or just an 'out of the ordinary' experience.

This is a wonderful restaurant for any type of occasion. The atmosphere was relaxed and sophisticated. The food was very reasonable (cheese tortolini w/ shrimp 14.00) and the portions are generous. The service was exceptional and the timing of each course was perfect. The total bill for 2 people w/o tip was about 35.00 (appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert).
