Awful experience!!. I am so glad that my wedding is Saturday just so I will not have to deal with Davids Bridal again! This has been the most horrible experience ever! Every one of my bridesmaids has gone through heck trying to get their dresses ordered, and altered. First thing when I picked out my girls dresses, the girls came in individually to get fitted and they told my girls that they should have NEVER picked this dress because it is way to long for them... number one: It is not their place to tell my girls what they think about the dress that I (the bride) picked out!!! ....They lost one of my girls sashes 6 days before the wedding... AND this beats all they ordered a completely wrong size for one of my girls and they took it upon themselves to order a new one 5 days before the wedding!!!. they ordered her a size 20 and she is NOWHERE close to that! I will NEVER buy anything from the store again. The consultants were not helpful at all! I am so glad that I didn't buy my dress from Davids Bridal.. I will not spend another dollar there!! I would advise anyone looking for a pleasant experience to go elsewhere. I wish I would have listened to the people that forwarned me!!

Make an appointment and keep an open mind.
I heard some pros and cons about Davids but made my appointment after an extensive online search of dresses. I needed to see one on me to help narrow my choices, style-wise.
Some of the issues I read about here involve girls who didn't have an appointment. Call me crazy, but if a business asks you to do so to be able to give you service, DO IT! What is so hard about that? I had no trouble, had a WONDERFUL consultant and even though I did not go in there to buy, I was treated very well and never felt rushed or pressured. So I went other places and then I went back. WITH APPOINTMENT, of course. While I can't speak for the quality of all of the dresses, I can speak for selection, which can be very intimidating. If you schedule a "less busy" time, I think you'll have better results. I -did. I went at 11:00 during the week and I was one of the only brides there.
