You Get What You Pay For.
So I've gotten my nails done (mani/pedi) here twice. However, I will not be returning again. Why? Because the service here is so iffy.
The staff is generally friendly, but the man that works there is a notable exception. It was pretty awkward when he did my nails - he gave me my first pedicure in a looong time, and he actually shook his head and made disapproving, judging noises while he was working on my feet! And another time I went back with a friend, and he refused to give her the pink to white ratio she requested on her French manicure (he had way too much white on there). Unreal.
Also, the other person who did my nails almost made me yelp with pain at one point; they're supposed to trim your cuticles, not make you bleed.
Great pedicure, even greater price!. I stopped by julie's Nails last Monday evening as I desperately needed a pedicure & they were the only place I could find open on a Monday! I walked right in & was treated with such courtesy. The chairs are brand new, mags are located for your convenience, and the woman that did my pedi was very pleasant - she even giggled with me when she did the scrubbing (I'm very ticklish!). I was in & out in under 30 minutes and it only cost me $24 ($20 for pedi + tip)! And my pedi is still just as fantastic as the day I got it.
Julies Nails of Somerville. Great service, great price, quality service. Open days, evenings. Parking meters so bring quarters. One of the best places ever for pedicures and nails. 5+++ stars. Lynn is fantasitic!!!!
Good price, quality varies. Some of the staff are great - Amy in particular, and if you're not happy the manager will see to it that the problem is addressed fully. Price is good
