Worst Carpet Cleaning Job I've Ever Had. This is the same phone number for the Xtra Clean we used from Donlon St. in Ventura so they must be the same outfit. We have always had our carpets professionally cleaned once a year and until now have never had a problem. Our carpet was one year old light colored berber when we hired Xtra Clean (for the first time). One fellow sprayed what smelled like industrial strength Pine Sol from a plastic squeeze bottle everywhere followed by the 2nd man with the carpet machine. When finished, the carpets were thoroughly soaked. They left a fan for us to move around ourselves, but the carpets were still soaked when they came back to take the fan that evening. It took days with the doors and window open and heater on for the carpets to dry. It took longer for that Pine Sol smell to go away. We think the carpets look worse than before they were cleaned. We never would use this company again. They did say they guaranteed their work, but we didn't want them back to try to fix it.…
