Total Rip Off. These GOMERS slapped on $ 1300 worth of parts to my Volvo and did not even come close to fixing my problem.. Ended up at Darryl W, and they fixed for $900. All Polly did was knock off $ 100 in parts cost and acted like he was doing me a favor. Stay as far away as you can from this chop shop.
RUDE DISHONEST and BAD BAD service. The people here have to be the rudest I have EVER come into contact with...I saw one man yell at a senior citizen and had her crying because she did not park in the right place...I went inside only to find some woman who didn't want to hear what was wrong with my car and would have a mechanic call if there was anything they found. Of course, they always find something and its 5 times more than what they tell you on the phone when you go to pick up your car. When they did call to tell me my car was ready...I told her I might be a few minutes late...Her advice was to hurry up they didn't get paid to wait around for people nor did they have the space to store my car. AWFUL SERVICE.....I wouldn't have even given this place 1 star, but had to to review it.....so disrespectful to all.....others have had the same experience and refuse to go back. Do yourself and your family a favor and find someone that will at least treat you and others with some respect.
I trust our lives to Kenny Polly. My wife, daughter and I have been taking our cars to Kenny Polly and his late father since 1980. They have kept them running -safely- up to the minute we're ready to trade- probably 18 different autos! When we're looking to buy another used car, we take it to Polly to check it out. Daughter's Jeep is more than 200,000 miles old - thank's to Polly's. When it's a job they don't or can't do, Polly's referrals are spot on. We have referred dozens of friends (many teachers) and they all have voted "Thumbs Up."
Terrible, expensive and did not fix my car. I had a terrible experience here. I took my car in, paid $700 and was given back a vehicle with the exact same problems it went in with. I took it back to Polly's and was told there was nothing wrong with it other than age, but that there was no refund for the original service--why was this even done if the issue was "age?" Despite being told that my car that shook and revved when in neutral was "normal," I took it to the dealer, and had it fixed in a day for only $350 (it was a motor mount issue, which Polly's told me would cost $500-$800 to have done and was "not necessary"--yet this service from the dealer completely fixed all issues I was experiencing). I don't plan on straying from the dealer again, and I will certainly never take a vehicle back to Polly's. I wasted $700, a good four days without a car and a lot of frustration.
Rude and Expensive.
If you don't mind car service that cost more, takes longer, and is makes the customer feel like a nuance then Polly's Shell is a great fit for you!
I have taken a number of vehicles to Polly's over a period of about 5 years. For some reason I keep going back, but after this last $100 oil change I am done.
The service representative is rude and coarse and generally hates her job from what I can tell. I can understand that and look past it. They tend to be a more expensive than other places, but do decent work.
We have had thermostats on two cars replaced there and didn't have any problems. However, we had break pads and rotors replaced there and they squeaked as we pulled out of the parking lot and didn't never stopped. (minor issue, if guess).
Yesterday I went in for an oil change and asked for an estimate on replacing the power lock actuator on one of the doors. I received a call with the $350 quote and decided to wait on the repair. I was shocked when I picked up my vehicle to have a $100 bill for an oil change. Apparently estimates for doing a job cost an hour of labor (and I got a deal of 1/2 an hour).
Unprofessional and rude.. Unprofessional and rude. I recently dropped off my vehicle at Polly's Shell. The second that I walked in I had the privileged of hearing the woman behind the counter (probably Polly) bicker with the mechanics on staff. Not only were the repairs almost a thousand dollars, but they had my vehicle for almost 4 days because they ordered the wrong parts. In my business, if I had caused a customer extreme inconvenience, I would at least have the courtesy to give them a discount. Nope. I still had to pay almost a thousand dollars. Never again.
What happened here???.
I have lived near Polly's for 3 years and have been taking my cars there ever since. They have always been honest and done good work. However, things seemed to have changed over the last year. I recently made an appointment for an oil change (yes, I considered it worth taking to Polly's even if I had to make an appointment)... I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment time since the man who scheduled it was kind of rude and told me not to be a minute late.... I walked home and 4 hours later they still had not gotten to my car! ...I picked it up and took it to Valvoline... where everyone was nice and it only took 15 minutes!
Polly's made no apologies for the poor service nor did they seem to care that I just got my key and left. They have lost my business for good!
I see this was posted New Year's eve. Maybe timing had something to do with it.
Honesty, Expert Service. I worked for Polly's 20 years ago when I moved to Nashville. I will tell you that the name Polly means honesty and excellent service. Kenny (Owner) not only taught me mechanical skills but also the importance of honesty. I was taught to diagnose not to just put parts on a car that arent needed till its fixed. This is a service center that is up on the new technoligy but still has old schools values on honesty, and integrity to its customers.
Great, fast service.
I've always had good luck with Polly's service. We used to use them for my old work and I've been taking my car there for the random fixes that a 1998 truck needs. They are always very fast and reasonably priced.
Only downer (and not a full 5 stars) is if you leave your car for any length of time, it may smell like smoke when you pick it up. Kind of a bummer but other than that they take great care of you!
Highly Recommend. I was recommended to Polly Shell from a few different sources. The staff is always friendly and usually very quick in getting the job done. They do get quite busy, but work hard to get my car completed as early as possible. I recommend getting there early in the morning so your car is done much sooner :)
