Good food, good service and excellent margaritas. I have been going to ETR since the 80's and the food and service have always been exceptional. The waitresses have been there forever and they remember you and always have smiles on their faces. The service is fast, food impeccable, and the margaritas the best in the area. However, since the son has taken over, the prices have gone up significantly, they charge you now for picco de gallo, farmers cheese and peppers, and sour cream but still worth the occasional visit.

Ole - The Tastiest Mexican Restaurant. I love this place and I'm not exaggerating. The food is what you called authentic tasty. It's not those imitation restaurants that say its mexican and taste american. This is authentic. The lines are long at evening but don't let that discourage you as you can wait in the bar area and have one of their best Margaritas and before your done with your drink you are seated. The staff is well informed and very polite. I have met the owner in more than one occassion as he goes to each table to ask you how is your food. All in all the owner and restaurant is top notch in my books. Everytime I have people from out of town, we go to El Taco Real. Only downfall is the parking but its worth trying to find one to enjoy the food.

Good Mexican cuisine in NW Indiana.. Having grown up in NWI, I've frequented ETR for many years. The whole enchilada (no pun intended) has been consistent- food, atmosphere, service- all good. I would not say that their food has been my personal favorite, but I tend to lean towards Mexican dishes that have a little bit more life with regards to flavors. If you are in NWI, and want Mexican, don't bother going anywhere else.

THE BEST IN THE REGION. This is the best mexican restaurant in the region! I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years! You cannot find a better place for great food and atmosphere!! Try it, you'll LOVE it!!! Go early because there's a line almost every night! But the wait is definitely worth it!

best mexican food. This rest. has the best mexican food! I would recommend it to anyone!
