Sure there in no A/C but it's not bad even in the summer. I am there 6-7 days a week and the heat in no problem. And the staff have always helped me out every time I needed it. Plus they have reupholstered the equipment and the pro shop is awesome, especially their home made shakes, they're delicious.
worst gym ever!! – i have been going to this gym for a few months now and i can say its the worst gym i have ever been to. I havent cancelled my contract yet (which they said i could do at any time) but i will be in the process of doing so. this gym has NO AIR CONDITIONING!! its so humid and muggy in there that you cant even do a good workout without wanting to pass out from the heat. when its 90 degree outside you kinda need air conditioning. i think its ridiculous that you start sweating right when you walk through the door, its very uncomfortable. its such a waste of money, im lucky if im able to last an hour in there and usually i like going to the gym for a good 2 hours. they do have a couple fans but only by the weights and if they think thats good airflow they have no clue how to run a business. having fans on one side of the gym and opening the doors on the other is not helping at all, if you dont have enough money to get air conditioning or to keep it on then please just shut down your business, obviously your not doing good at all and all your doing is stealing everyones money. I am just disgusted with this gym.
DO NOT JOIN – My wife and I joined based on misleading information that an associate told us. He said that we could cancel at any time. Once I tried to cancel they told me that I was locked in for 2 years. This place has horrible customer service, poor equiptment, and the give you false information. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
this gym sure sucks – this gym is close to home but its really out dated the guys are really rude and dont dso crap but talk tyo theyre buddies the steam room is gross an i guess that they think that by pouring bleach on it its sanitized eww but there is nothing around its a shame theyre using the worl gym name cause its the trashiest world gym ive been to..
Poor and old equipment – Many of the machines are broken and missing components. Old and worn padding makes for an uncomfortable workout. Also workout areas can be too cramped leaving clients to wait in line for machines. Ellipticals clank so hard during your workout they feel as if there going to fall apart.
The locker room is shabby and cramped also smelly! Left over pop and redbull cans in the lockers too!
One of the biggest fitness franchises caters to more than just bodybuilders. – The Scene
The company logo is a muscle-bound gorilla deadlifting a heavily loaded barbell, but World Gym's focus goes beyond just weights to include a number of fitness options. Joe Gold's first Southern California muscle mecca--the second being the eponymous Gold's--has spawned hundreds of neighborhood gyms everywhere, from Mentor, Ohio, to Taichung, Taiwan. Design and amenities vary from franchise to franchise to reflect the owner and the community as much as, if not more than, the original location.
All World Gym fitness centers are required to be at least 9,500 square feet. That means ample room for free weights, medicine balls, treadmills and sundry machines; classes in Spinning, yoga and the like fill out the group-oriented fare.
