Lovely Facility

I have never been happier with an animal hospital. Their service was very personalized. Thank you so much for taking care of my pet.

• Pros: Very caring staff, well-trained
• Cons: Loud lobby - but understandable

Insensitive clod of an employee

I have a long haired dog named Angel. She gets mats. We brush her, probably not enough I admit. We took Angel in for grooming, and though she likes baths she does not like being groomed (nails, hair, etc) so they insist on a "sedated groom". She showed me where, on a record in the office she is a biter. Well, not with us she isn't. Maybe they ought to try patience! Maybe it has to do with having a bad first experience with them years before I adopted her that left her with some bloody spot in her eye. Apparently during the sedated groom she woke up (first problem, what kind of people are these that can't sedate a dog) and a "mat cutter" that was on her cut into her belly necessitating stitches. Okay, so far I don't understand the lack of proper sedation but do understand, in terms of the mat cutter, that accidents happen. The word I want to use for the woman who called to tell me begins with a B and it five letters long but for the sake of this being public I'll use the word idiot instead. She tells me what happened and regarding the mats she says "like we've tried to tell you all along". Excuse me??? I've never heard of the word "mat cutter" and what does she think someone has been trying to tell me? And she says "we" even though I've never spoken to her. Has she been trying to tell me they don't know how to sedate? Were they trying to tell me they don't remove sharp objects from animals at the first signs of waking? What does she think anyone has been trying to tell me? That she gets mats? I know that, that's why I take her to (what I thought were) the professionals. Never again. Never ever again. I highly recommend anyone going there consider that of 19 reviews so far, that 12 give Munster Animal Hospital only one star out of a possible five. This then will the 13th review of 20 that is bad. Take the hint. Look for a better place if you love your animals and you think people telling you they "cut your dog" (not just the hair they were supposed to) shouldn't be trying to pass the blame to the owner. I wasn't there. I've never cut her. I've never administered sedation incorrectly. That clod wants to pass the buck. Well, pass it. None of my bucks will ever cross your establishment again.

very sad

It is really sad to see such a nice hospital change into a Pet Smart commercal. The minute I walked into the new hospital I could see the real focus wasn't on animal health anymore. What upsets me most though, is the fact that I can't get my usual vet that I've had for years and is an excellent vet. Even though I have told the staff he is the only vet I wanted taking care of my pet, they either ignored my request, or was made to ignore it. So Dr. Han took over my pets case. I was furious about that!

So Dr. Han, when a paying customer requests their usual vet, I suggest you let them have him or I will take my business elsewhere. Also just a helpful suggestion: When my pet is in your room fighting for her life, I truly resent seeing advertisments of your pet cemetaries and pet headstones!! I think there's something very wrong about a vet that makes money off of your pet if he lives... or dies.
