Located in the heart of historic Germantown, Germantown Cafe offers comfortable American cuisine at reasonable prices as well as a
fully-stocked bar and an amazing view of the Nashville skyline. Conveniently located just blocks north of downtown and the Coliseum, the Cafe is a perfect choice for a pre-game cocktail or a post-theatre bite to eat.
Germantown Cafe's kitchen specializes in straightforward traditional cooking with a subtle twist--but don't worry, there's no fusion confusion on display here. Whether you choose the delicious pork tenderloin with plum sauce, the coconut curry salmon, or the crabbiest crab cakes this side of Chesapeake Bay, you'll revel in the culinary confidence of their chef.

Five stars for Fried Green Tomatoes!. The menu here varies in hitting its mark - sometimes it's good, other times mediocre...not sure why, but it just is. however, the fried green tomatoes are really damn good. pretty much all the time.
Best Cheese Cake in Nashville. We to Germantown for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was great and the service was too. We had serval different things from the menu and we shared. The plum pork was great. French onion soup was the best I have had in Nashville and the Cheese Cake, well it was better than any cheese cake I've ever eaten. If you have never eaten here I suggest you come and try it out. You will not be disappointed. We also went over and tried the new Germantown East and it was equally as good. We will go back again.
favorite in town!. Love everything on the menu and you have to try the rolls!
Wonderful food and great modern atmosphere. This place is really great for Sunday lunch, etc. Such a modern, elegant atmosphere with nice staff. Very pleasant experience:)
Hope It Is Better Next Time. Not our best experience, but I have been there before and had a nice time and meal. So maybe it was just an off night. Will be back.
Why would you eat here?.
I don't understand how this restaurant exists. People that dine in Nashville must have zero expectations when they go out to eat. I know people that have worked in the kitchen and it's terrible. The lamb shank is microwaved for 4 minutes when you order it and then if they have time they'll put it in the oven. If not they'll just put it back in for 4 more minutes.
The menu has been the same since forever. Why would you go here when Cityhouse is right around the corner??? There aren't many good restaurants in Nashville but this is one of the worst. Cityhouse, Flyte, Miel, and 360 Bistro are all better choices.
Always a pleasure. This is always my first pick for business lunch. Parking is convenient. It's just outside of downtown enough to make it easy for folks to still meet downtown without parking issues. Food is always fresh, well prepared, and delicious. Prices are a little high, but the value is there. Service is always effiicient and professional. Love the ample windows. Nice view. Check out Cocoa Tree next door afterwards for a yummy truffle to save for later. Tried "to go" recently and was extremely pleased.
Perfect lunch. A snowy day in Nashville leaves restaurants emtpy as everyone has headed home. the streets are not yet frozen and Germantown Cafe serves up a delicious New England clam chowder perfect for the cold day. The chowder was filed with clams and tasted of seafood not potato.
great view and atmosphere. to many yucky reductions ,not enough basic solid foods
Elegant Dining Experience.
Bright inside, finely decorated, very elegant. A great place to impress a date.
The food is 5 star all the way.
