Not Impressed. I ate there yesterday for lunch, it was my first time eatin at Otter's and I am sorry to say it will be my last. The food was expensive, which I wouldn't havent cared if it was good. Had a fairly long wait for my food. when I got my food and tried it I almost died form all the salt that was on it. The fried pickles was so salty it burned your mouth, the coleslaw was awfull overall I was not impressed with what I got for my money.

Man have I missed this chicken!. I just moved back to Nashville from Birmingham and have really missed Otter's. I was happy to see that the menu has expanded quite a bit. The fried mushrooms are to die for! I like them in both Ranch dressing and Otter's Sauce. I also love that they have opened a location on the East side. Closer to home for me and I don't have to deal with Demonbreun parking. They have a parking garage on Main Street under the building, I found out. Feels very safe and I really like the decor there.

Too expensive to be "cheap eats". I went to the Otters Chicken on Main St. in East Nashville. I got the three tenders meal (#2, "box"), which was marked $6.48. I think this is too much to charge for three average sized chicken tenders with fries. The meal also boasted texas toast. In my opinion, a piece of bread is not a selling point. On top of all of this, the combo meal did not include a fountain drink ($1.59 extra). So basically, I got three pieces of chicken, fries, and a fountain drink (oh yeah, and a piece of bread) for a little over $9.00 (inc. tax), which is way too much. If they are going to charge this much for chicken, it better be really good chicken. Unfortunately, I have had better. I don't plan to go back.

I will be really surprised if this place is still open a year from now, unless they change their business plan. It was kind of a schizophrenic place. The decor and the big-screened TVs seemed to be too much for what is essentially a lunch counter serving a basic chicken menu. Otters does have a small bar and serves alcohol (I think), but they were planning to close at 8pm on Saturday night, so this must not be a big part of the business. I will assume that they will eventually try to embellish the alcohol aspect when they find out that their expensive chicken isn't selling.

Good points: I like their frozen crinkly fries. Many TVs (big screen too); probably a great place to watch a football game. Chicken is decent, but not great.

Bad points: Pretty much everything else, including the lack of real silverware, indifferent staff, and hidden charges.

Other options: many american-style sit-down restaurants will have a basic chicken tender appetizer that will be comparable in quality and price to Otters. Personally, I think that a comparable combo meal at KFC tastes better and costs less. They are trying to fit somewhere in-between fast-food and sit-down, but do not match the quality of sit-down, nor the speed and price of fast-food.

Best in town. As a chicken enthusiast, I pride myself on recognizing good chicken when I taste it, and Otter's has successfully delivered time and time again. Great sauces as well. Do yourself a favor and also try their chicken Sliders, excellent.

Good Food POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!. OTTERS FOOD - is excellent . A big negative for Otter's is the customer service friendly young children working in the restaurant. If you are will to ignore the kid like behavior of unprofessional ism -- it is a great eat for cheap-- if customer service would improve would raise to a 5. FRANKLIN HAS TOOOOO MANY RESTAURANTS FOR THIS POOR SERVICE.

Consistently the best chicken in town!. Otter's chicken is the BEST! The fried tenders are delicious, with a crisp coat on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. The grilled chicken is equally as good for a healthier choice. The fries are just the right size, not too thick, not to thin and NEVER soggy. Dip them in Otter's sauce and you have perfection! As always, the staff was friendly and very helpful! Best ice in town, too!!

BEST EVER!. My absolute favorite place to have a quick bite in Nashville. Great location near Tin Roof, Dan McGuinness and Two Doors Down. (Bonus at bar close). The crinkle cut fries are the best and the chicken fingers CAN NOT be beat.

When are they going to expand north?

Yum!. I first went to Otter's 2 or 3 years ago, and I haven't stopped going since. Otter's differs from most other restaurants of its kind because it offers both grilled and fried tenders, giving healthy eaters an option that is not fried. When you are in the mood for something fried and delicious, the fried tenders are the best around.

NOT FRESH BUT FROZEN. Otters chicken my least favorite chicken places in the south. Its frozen and the fries are nasty crinckle cut worse than Burger King. The service was very poor and the atmospher is terrible. I don't see this place staying around much longer
