Great Thai Food in South River. Very nice dining experience from the moment we walked through the front door. We seated ourselves (the waitress was unavailable for a long period of time), but no matter, as we got the seat we wanted (right by the front window). The ambiance was quiet ( it was Friday early evening), and when the waitress finally emerged (syke ! ), she was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't wait long for our appetizers (the steamed dumplings were so good and tasted perfect). Then our main dishes arrived just in time (not too quick and not too slow after we had finished munching on the appetizers). The Pad Thai was very tasty, and the flavoring was not too ovewhelming. I don't know what my other family members ordered, but they were 3 other dishes, and we all shared them, taking a sample of each onto our plates. DELICIOUS !!!!!! For dessert, we ordered the fried ice cream and sticky rice with mango------> DELICIOUS !!!!!

And the prices--------> REASONABLE AND AFFORDABLE, plus you get more than your money's worth. We finished virtually all of the entrees and dessert. And another thing, the waitress was very attending. We never had to ask for a refill on our waters. She was great in that she didn't come over every 5 minutes asking how the food was. Very friendly woman, and all restaurants need waitress with her kind of manner. I don't know her name, but if you go to this restaurant and sit down, you will know who she is.

They also accomodate take out orders. I saw lots of people coming in and picking up their orders. As I paid, I took 2 menus with me because I plan to go back.

Metered parking is available on the streets. There are spots in front of the restaurant so walking distance is minimal.

In my opinion, this restaurant was better than the Thai restaurants I've eaten in Chinatown. Great dining experience. Writing about it now, I feel like going back to River Thai and trying out their lunch menu :-)

So Oichi, delicious!!. The Sam Rod Fish was delicious. Very good dish selection and value.

Excellent Food. Loved the restaurant. Pad Thai was amazing. Also try the Duck Salad and Pad See Ew. Friendly hostess and peaceful atmosphere.

what agreat thai food in south river. what a great thai food. I've never thought I would have a chance to have a really good thai food again, since I'd moved from NYC. this thai restuarant's located in small town called south river on main st..so I'm just greatful that I don't have to go to the city just to have aithentic thai food.
