Upscale shopping center in Thousand Oaks featuring 120 retailers including Nordstrom, Anthropologie and J Crew, plus dining options such as The Cheesecake Factory and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
The Oaks will be a great mall in Ventura after their renovation.

I can't wait until The Oaks mall is done with their redevelopment (Fall 2008). It will be FABULOUS! NORDSTROM is coming! The MUVICO Theatre will have supervised playroom for the children (they can choose movies, crafts or games...how cool is that???) and the VIP amenities and services; reclining stadium-style seats. They will also have a full service restaurant and bar. It will be the BEST movie theatre in the West Coast! There are many updated new stores....Sephora, Papyrus, Kate Spade, Coach, Ruehl, Planet Funk...etc. Yay!!! Cinnabon is coming also to this mall! Cinnabon is such a wonderful indulgence and is worth it! . After a few bites you will realize that you will be coming back for more as often as possible. Love the Coffee Bean and Tea and the new food court! Cheesecake Factory and Sisley are my favorite restaurants in this mall. I can't wait until we start to hangout with my friends in this mall, it will be an AWESOME mall!
Moving upmarket. Under construction

As of March 2007, the Oaks Mall is being heavily renovated. Over the past two years, a number of family owned businesses have left the mall (been pushed?) and have been replaced by high end national chains. It's becoming a clone of high end malls across the country. Depending on what you are looking for, that may be either a good or a bad thing. Several of the major department stores have closed. They are doing heavy demolition and construction to add a Nordstrom.
- Pros: Usual chain stores.
- Cons: Lack of quality local stores
