I read the good reviews on citysearch and decided to book an appointment for waxing at this salon. The place is very cute, with nice furniture, and Julie who treated me is a very kind person. She waxed my legs and arms in a quite dark room, so she could not see if she missed any hair (which she did). But that did not matter that much, compared to the fact that, a couple of days later, I realized that the hair were not removed from their root, instead, most of them were cut and are growing back as if I shaved them. It looks really bad, especially on my arms that are now full of small black spots and not at all smooth. :( I've been waxing my legs and arms for many years now and I know how it feels when hair are removed from the root. It usually takes 3 weeks or more to reappear, and then the hair are softer, and scattered. So, even though I liked the place, I'm never going back there.
Pros: Nice place
Cons: Not the quality of service I expected. I need to revisit another salon and try to fix my arms that look horrible now.

Julie at Serene Skin and Body is the only one I trust to keep my brows and skin looking great. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Her facials are super relaxing and cleansing. I buy the Jan Marini products that they carry. I especially love the moisturizer with sunscreen and the C-Esta. Julie got me to become a daily sunscreen wearer. My skin thanks her! Nanette is also wonderful. She is very helpful and always has great tips. All of my experiences at Serene Skin and Body have been really positive. I highly recommend them and their products. Enjoy the pampering!
Pros: great waxing and facials, friendly,professional,convenient location
Cons: parking can be tricky at times
