Suspicious Salesmen!
by garehan
We live in Clayton, NC and this evening two men in red t-shirts came to our door to see if we were interested in furniture they had in their Thomasville Transport truck. Yes, they had an 18 wheeler parked in the street of our subdivision and were going door to door trying to "unload" their stuff.
Be wise and don't encourage these guys. Call the cops like we and many of our neighbors did.
- Pros: Not a one
- Cons: Selling from the truck!
Can't get a call back

We were told that a king size bed could be ordered & delivered in exchange for the queen we paid for plus $200. We've been trying to contact the company since mid-February, and no one answers the phone or calls us back. I've contacted a driver, but he acts like it's not his problem, and has stopped answering our calls altogether. It's quite frustrating to have bought a whole bedroom set and not have the bed to use, but instead, have to hang onto a bed in a box that we can't use...to hopefully exchange for the size we wanted from the start. All we want is our king size bed!!!! And to think, we were trying to help these guys out by giving them "room in the truck" because they were "turned away from the warehouse". If we would have known it would be so hard to contact these people (they only list one number, the same on the receipt, and they don't answer that number!) we wouldn't have bought the set.
- Pros: beautiful furniture
- Cons: bed's still in a box
