GROSS-- FOUND A HAIR IN MY KORMA!!!!.
FOUND A HAIR IN MY KORMA!!!!
I had lunch here on a weekday afternoon. My friend and I were the only customers there. The waitress was slow and inattentive, especially considering we were the only table. I ordered the vegetable korma and immediately spotted a hair in it! YUCK! GROSS! The waitress was nowhere to be found, so I flagged the manager/owner. He didn't seem to believe me until I fished out the black hair with my spoon. He sent it back to the kitchen and do NOT offer me any discount or even naan on the house. My friend went on the eat his chicken tikka salad, which looked like a salad you might find in a pizza house--topped with croutons and olives, not what we were expecting. Finally my new hair-free korma arrived, but my friend was almost done with his meal--making for an awkward staggered dining experience. As we left the manager muttered "sorry." I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. FINDING HAIR IN YOUR FOOD IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Best Indian Food in the Boston Area. If you live in Boston and love Indian food, then you need to find a way to get to Kashish in Belmont. It's located in Belmont Center and is accessible by bus (on street parking or the lot behind the restaurant provides plenty of parking for cars). First, I absolutely love Indian food and have eaten at many Indian restaurants (and Indian homes) across the country. Kashish has to be my all-time favorite. The staff members are friendly and the service is outstanding. The decor in the restaurant is upscale and detail-oriented (something missing from many Indian restaurants I've freqented in Boston). Now to the important part...the food! You can order anything on the menu, and you won't be disappointed. I enjoy starting the meal with vegetable samosas. They're not to heavy and are served with 3 delicious sauces (tamarind is my personal favorite). The mango lassis are fantastic, but I prefer to get iced tea on most occasions. My favorite entrees include chicken korma and bhagan bharta. Many indian restaurants serve food that is heavy, unlike home-cooked Indian food. However, the food at Kashsih doesn't seem to bog me down. Well, enough said...I would recommend this restaurant for Bostonians who want to experience a different part of the city. Belmont is definitely more relaxed than Back Bay, Boston and would serve as a great dinner escape for a couple, group of friends or family...my family has shared my enthusiasm for this restaurant.
