In Short – Entering the clean, bright interior is like stepping into an "Archie" comic book. Hurrying across white- and black-checkered floors, staff in crisp white shirts and paper hats take orders, polish chrome and shuffle between booths and the full-service counter. Middle-American diner standards dominate the menu--pickle-covered steak burgers, chili cheeseburgers and thick shakes. Healthier options include chicken, chef and taco salads.

Great Service -- if you can deal with a smokey restaurant.

Danville has two Steak-n-Shakes and if you are wanting good service and good food then this is the restaurant that you want to chose. With that being said though, if you don't smoke and if it bothers you to sit in a restaurant where people are smoking then pass on the south side Steak-n-Shake. The smell is really bad and even if you sit in the "non-smoking" section, you will still have to deal with the smoke filled air.
- Pros: TOP NOTCH Service!! Good food!
- Cons: The smokey air really stinks!!
