Great ambience and food. The restaurant is set in a great historic building and the restaurant ambience is excellent. Combine that with some delicious Italian food and you have great value. The service is great and the prices are reasonable as well.

Overall, Average Restaurant. The food, service and value is average. We were impressed with the ambience and upon arriving we were able to hear one of the singing waiters. Their website says that the waiters accept requests and to let the restaurant know 2 weeks in advance. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Galena this past weekend. We requested our wedding song be sang about 2 months ago. None of the wait staff including the host acknowledged our anniversary. On our way out, I asked the host if they had received our request. He showed me the request on his computer screen and just shrugged. This is an ok restaurant to dine in if you are visiting Galena, however, I wouldn't go back there to celebrate another happy occasion.

Wonderful night out!. It really was such a fun dinner.

We of COURSE started with the fried green tomatoes, and then the other courses followed.

The service was exemplary, the food wonderful, the portions fantastic, and the entire experience was not just a meal, but a fun night out.

Great Steak!. Even though this is considered an Italian restaurant, their steaks are

wonderful and a great value. We were so impressed and happily

surprised with all aspects of this restaurant. Nice new location right

in town of Galena, too!

Excellent in every way!!! Don't miss this one!. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of Fried Green Tomatoes. The soup, salad and entrees were just perfect. I had the broth based seafood pasta my first visit and the the cream based seafood pasta the second time. Both were delicious and the seafood really tasted so fresh and was well prepared. I highly recommend Fried Green Tomatoes and suggest reservations for the weekend.
