In Short – Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

I took my family here as a special outing to thank them for all their support. I was told it was a good place to visit. WRONG!
The food is was bland, undercooked, and over priced. The wait staff tried their best to service but clearly they are under staffed as well. Do not go here!

I've eaten at Olive Garden quite a few times. I haven't been here in awhile but I went this afternoon on my lunch break with a couple coworkers. They always seem to be decently busy and we had to wait for about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad. Today I tried the Lasagna Roll. It wasn't bad and it was very filling. The service and the food aren't bad but it's just like any other chain restaurant out there, everything is the same and there is nothing special about the food. I would like to find a really good Italian restaurant in the Iowa City/Coralville area, but so far I haven't had much luck. However, in regards to Olive Garden, the atmosphere is nice and the food isn't bad but it's nothing special.
