Terrible food, workers, and service.. I do not recommend this Applebee's to anyone. Their service is horrible and the workers are all rude. You may sit there for 20 minutes before someone actually takes your order. They do not listen well and give too much attitude. The food sucks. Not a place you want to eat and spend your hard earned money. Stay away.

A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.

Stay away!!!!. On more than one occasion, the latest being this evening, my wife and I have been seated promptly with menus, only to be promptly ignored by numerous members of staff, including management, resulting in us getting up and leaving. We have contacted Applebee's corporate and regional offices and again been ignored. If you crave Applebee's that badly, drive to Gaffney, SC or Gastonia, NC nearby, and stay the heck away from Shelby, or else go up the road to Fatz, Ruby Tuesday, etc. if you have to dine in Shelby. The Applebee's in Shelby could care less about you or your business.
