The Scene – The distinct air of an urban health club pervades this spa, which is made up of communal space. While friends enjoy sharing the facilities, the steamy, water-based area feels like a slightly upscale locker room--lots of nudity, lots of scrubbing, scents of chlorine mixed with mugwort. The dry heat rooms are more mellow, often silent, and offer truly cozy relaxation amid the infrared heat and warm herbal scents. – – The Services – Totally natural materials are used for facials and body moisturizers--fresh cucumber, honey, olive oil and aloe vera. I just got back from my first trip to Olympus, and I feel great. I was a bit apprehensive about being nude in front of everyone, but quickly got over it. The five different temperatures in the tubs and whirlpools allowed me to find just the right comfort zone and the three heated energy rooms were all very cozy and relaxing. I had a massage with Reid, and she not only gave me a wonderfully relaxing massage, she showed me some ways to stretch my tight muscle groups at home and gave me tips on how I could reduce my muscle tension. My only regret is that I didn't book a longer massage and more services. Now that I know you get your money's worth, I will be sure to return for a spa package sometime.
- Pros: great value, good services
- Cons: a little tricky to find

They now have two locations to choose from: Tacoma (the older location) and Lynwood (the new location).
Set aside at least four hours for a truly full immersion spa experience. Absolutely get the Korean scrub and moisturizing treatment. Explore all the pools, sauna, steam room, and therapeutic rooms (charcoal, sand, etc). And don't forget to check out the Korean restaurant and even the tea service room.
I've explored other "full service" day spas but none with the variety of services available at Olympus. The employees and clients are all polite. And as another reviewer said, the diversity of clientel is a big plus. Everything about Olympus is rejuvenating for mind, body, and soul.
- Pros: extended hours
- Cons: locations are not around the corner from me
