GNCU becoming more like big bank but worse – I would give GNCU 0 stars if I could, but 1 star is lowest I can go. GNCU has changed their checking accounts and have made it next to impossible, so now they are demanding fees for every account and these fees are enormous. The accounts used to be no fees if you had direct deposit, or kept a minimum balance in the account, now they have removed that and require both 1 and 2 below AND 3
1) Direct Deposit
2) Estatement signups
3) Depending on the account (20c discount per debit card transaction, or for the other 2 accounts 15 debit card transactions in 1 month)
For someone like me this is unreasonable and we will NEVER bank a GNCU again.
WORST CREDIT UNION EVER!!!! – I had thousands in my account and tried to close it after I left the area. They would not send me my money. I had to write a check against my account and then asked for the balance with interest as it was a savings account. They would not send me my interest or my July 2009 statement. I had to file a complaint with the State to get them to send me "some" of my interest. They still owe me interest and my July 2009 statement some 2 years later. They don't care and know they can steal you money if it is a small amount!!! US Bank is much better
Worst EVER!!! – Terrible, terrbile credit union. I have never had such a bad experience with any financial insitution before. You have to wait in line for about 15-20 mins to get to a teller. I went in to add my spouse to my acct and order checks and I found out a week later that he was never added and checks were not ordered. I got fed up and tried to close my acct and they want to charge me a $10 fee to close. Terible service. You can never talk to anyone. Whenever you call, you have to wait a long time before they will get to you (ie. on hold and are # 5 in line). Oh, I wanted to open the acct on 2/28 and they wanted to charge me a $6 fee because I hadn't had a direct deposit go into my account for the month of Feb. I wish I would have never walked in the door. They even want me to pay them just to leave!
greater nevada credit union is the biggest rip-off ever – this company is the worst company i have ever seen and there business pratices border criminal, beware dont give them any of your business and there customer service is by far the worst i have ever seen, they are squeezing there cusstomer for anything they can, please dont do any business with them you will thank me for this advice
everyone who wrote a review about GNCU – Your just mad because your irrisponsible and cant keep track of your own account! Stop blaming Greater nevada for your stupidity! EVERY bank has overdraft fee's, so heres a solution, STOP OVERDRAFTING you idiots. be responsible and keep track of your money, I work for this company and id have to say 90% of members are very nice and respectful and love the credit union, its idiots like these people that hate us because they get butt hurt over their own stupidity. we dont "cheat" people out of money, you do it to yourself and to save embarressmant you have to blame us, i cant stand members like you and you make yourself look like total jerks when you come in and complain and raise hell over something thats your own fault! CRY ABOUT IT.

This so called company ripped me off. Do not open an account with them unless you want to be cheated and ripped off. I hope and pray that this company is closed down soon!
Worst business establishment i have ever come across! – Im not quite sure what kind of facility is being ran here but this financial institution is absolutely the most backwards bank i have ever trusted my money with. Numerous times i have been wrongfully charged overdraft fees. When i call to get it straightened out i end up spending an hour arguing with someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, finally ending with them fixing their mistakes without so much as an apology. Most times i have to wait almost a week before anyone even responds. I thought it would just be easier to actually go into the bank instead of calling but i was very wrong. I was told that i needed to call because they could "see" more. Nobody in the building would do so much as lift a finger to help me. When a person's financial situation is being corrupted by their own bank and they are unable to even get decent service than it is time to move on. Whatever you do, do not trust your money with them, you will regret it.

I want to change my due date 4years now-not happening-I wrote a letter as they requested and they denied to change due date from 23rd to 10th of each month.DENIED, no reason

since i have a co-signer, I am not even considered important and cannot make any changes without contacting my co-signer, who I no longer even talk to, it doesn't matter that I am the one putting out the money, this company it bad and too bad i am poor and have to use them....
