someone please send these folks to school to learn how to cook - REALLY FAST! – This place is horrible. Ms. Bonwell says it's great, that's because it is one of her relatives who co-owns it. These two guys are better off stoning it up (I have even seen them smoke up in the back) than run a business. I
call ahead, its hard to get in at lunch time especially – My husband and I have been eating @ R place Bistro for almost 5 years. Its amazing!! we mostly eat lunch there. but we try and have dinner a couple of times per month. Over the past few years, we have seen the menu expand greatly and even though they have doubled the size of the place, it still has a very cozy feel.
we love that the owners run the place, one takes care of all customers personally, and the other does all the cooking. we have gotten to know them over the years, and they are one of the main reasons that we and lots of others go. perfect food and perfect service.
we had the chance to attent a private party that R place hosted, all I can say is: WOW!!!
Wonderfull atmosphere – I totally disagree with the previous review. Everytime I have been there the food was great and the service was friendly and timely. My favorite time to go is at lunch.
R Place – First of All, the owners of the restaurant were higher than a kite when I went in to have dinner with a friend I was visiting Pensacola. This place not only had the worst food but the worst service, bad attitudes, it was empty (no wonder why) and I smelled mari**ana when I went to use the bathroom - it was obvious that the worn out queens running the place had been out back smoking p@t --- oblivious to the fact that we had been sitting at their bar for over ten minutes waiting on service.
This place use to be called the ART bar! It was much better back then, but it had been over three years since my wife and I had visited Pensacola. The art was some of the most pathic looking junk I have seen in my life - I say these boys should give it up and move out to some town in Alabama and grow some we#d - they'd probably be better at doing that thanthey are at running a cafe. This place su!ks! Don't even bother!
