In Short – Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.

Out of Towners Treated Like Commom Criminals

My story is pretty long, so i'm going to be as brief as possible. But i want EVERYONE to know about it. BEWARE: We visited the restaurant in Wilmington, DE (600 justison st) and i had the worst experience ever in my entire 44 years on this planet--yeah, that bad! Rick was the manager on site on 6/30/11 (1015pm) and due to a prank (i guess, i still dont know what really happened that night) by one of our Delware friends; my brother, his wife, my boyfriend and myself were guilty by association and treated like common criminals. Now, my boyfriend, the prankster, his 77 y.o. mom and myself had been here early in the day (we're from NYC). We spent $149 plus a $25 tip to our server. We decided to come back with my brother & his wife when they arrived that night, also from NYC. But something happended between our friend and Rick. And Rick threatened to call the cops on our friend BUT little did we know that he LIED about us too! So two very hostile and aggressive Delware cops KICKED us ALL out. According to Rick, WE had all been drinking all night!! My brother & his wife had just arrived via a bus only 10 minutes prior to getting to the restaurant!! Why would a manager say such lies to get us kicked out. WE were NOT part of the prank--and our friend voluntarily left the premises BEFORE the cops arrived. He was NOT overtly drunk nor belligerent. BEWARE of the Delware cops too! One of them said, once we were OUTSIDE of the restaurant, that we better leave or else someone is going to get hurt!! (what??!!) Were they threatening us?!! The night with the cops didnt end there, but this review is about Joe's Crap's manager, who lacks integrity!!! Food is mediocre at best...if you can, go to Ocean City's CRAB BAG--the BEST all you can eat CRABS at the best prices!!!
