In Short – Founded in 1983, this high-tech haven is recognizable by its blue, box-like building stamped with a yellow price tag-shaped logo. Explore the wide, gadget-lined aisles and find brand-name goods including personal computers, video games, TVs, digital cameras, cell phones and fax machines. Choose from a slew of popular brands such as Canon, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony. In-house installation services are available for most car audio and video systems, home entertainment systems, satellite hook-up, and home appliances.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- If your computer crashes in the middle of a last-minute project, don't freak out, just call the Geek Squad, Best Buy's affiliate 24/7 computer-support task force. See website for details.
- Know Before You Go:
- Before you hop in your car, check the weekly online-only sales event Hot Deals Wednesday for savings on computers, cameras, electronics and appliances.
- Look Good:
- Don't get stuck with a lemon: Purchase the optional Performance Service Plan with your product to ensure long-lasting performance.

Best Buy used my account information from the purchase of my computer to renew my Webroot subscription. I did not authorize this at any time. I do like the Webroot product, but was going to switch to the virus protection comcast offers FREE. I did NOT want money taken from my account for this renewal.
Beware of using your Debit or Credit care here if they are going to be doing this crap!!!
- Pros: I really like the Webroot antivirus, But...
- Cons: Best Buy used my account info without permission
