Dirty dishes. We were looking for a place to eat lunch after Mass. We found the wrong one. Dirty dishes. Need I say more? The hibachi counter seemed to be a nice touch to the buffet, but the meat came back tough as leather and tasteless. Even at $10 a head, not a good deal.

The worst chinese food?. Don't even think about it!! Find someplace else to eat - any place. We had the worst Chinese-style food I have ever had - bar none! The food was essentially tasteless, except for the General Tso's, which had a bit of spice. The Sushi was absolutely tasteless, too-thick slices of fish. The service was OK, although for a buffet that does not take much. In comparison, there was an inexpensive Chinese buffet near my work in Newark that was superb. I know the difference.

Nice people, food not so much.
I like the staff at this restaurant, they're all quite nice and attentive. However, I can't get past the mediocre food. Most of it's been sitting under a heat lamp for too long, and the buffet variety is quite small.
They have a sushi bar with a variety of items, but you're not going to find fresh fish in it.
If they improve the quality of the food, the place may stand a chance. Until then, keep driving.

BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Unfortunatlley I ate there tonight. I should have left as soon as I smelled the place or when I seen the food but I didn't The food was horrible the Fruits were uneatable and the pastries were just awful. I reccomend not going I actually went because it had somee good reviews but let me tell you it was bad. Save your dough and skip this dump. Better off eating at your local Chinese restuarant. Thanks

Really big buffet - liked the sushi. I went on a weekend evening when the buffet is more elaborate so can't compare with other times. The sushi selection was good and was worth the $13.99 price alone. I didn't try the freshly cooked hibachi selections, but would try next time. I tried some of the other seafood choices, such as clams, mussels and shrimp, but find the sushi was best. The other food was more typical Chinese fare, plus an array of desserts.

good price decent food i think???. i like the food choices however i see alot of ghetto fab ppl go there n basically take over the counters. i also noticed the noodles and rice are always cold. the grill is okay but the guys working it kinda beg for tips, overall its good and so far no nasty tales to discuss as previous reviews stated.

Best food```.
I went there with my friend one time. Then I started to love this place.
I had so much good food and the best sushi ever.
The price was so reasonable. That's my favor part.

o.k but !!!.
well i dont know what to tell u well the food waz o.k but the chicken waz bad and they dont tell u wat is in the food in hindu (cant eat beef/pork) i ate dumplings beef bad the shusi waz o.k o.k but i would recommend it

AVOID THIS ESSEX GRAND BUFFET RESTAURANT. I USED TO GO BACK TO THIS ESSEX GRAND BUFFET RESTAURANT, BUT EVERYTIME I GO TO THIS RESTAURANT, THERE ARE WEIRD DISGUSTING THINGS I HAVE NOTICED. PEOPLE ARE SO NASTY, ESPECIALLY THE WOMAN WHOS HAIR HAS BANGS. ONE TIME, WHEN ME AND ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBER WENT TO THIS RESTAURANT, I WAS GOING TO GET SUSHI, BUT I CHANGED MY MIND WHEN I WITNESSED ONE CHINESE GUY SNEEZE AT THE SUSHI HE WAS PREPARING. SINCE THEN I NEVER EAT ANYTHING THAT IS NOT COOKED FROM THIS RESTAURANT. THE OTHER TIME, WHEN I WAS IN THE MEN'S RESTROOM WASHING MY HANDS AFTER EATING, I NOTICED ONE CHINESE GUY WHO DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO WASH HIS HANDS AFTER URINATING, WHEN I LEFT THE RESTROOM I SAW HIM PREPARING SUSHI. SINCE THEN I NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT.

Horrible food. Food was very oily, the GT chicken was cold. Bad service, had to ask several times to get a refil on water.
