The North Rim is only open during summer, so it never really seems to bustle like the South Rim. Built out of logs and limestone, the main building and cabins blend right into the surrounding forest and canyon walls. With a stunning lobby, a sun-room filled with chairs overlooking the canyon, and more than 140 private cabins strewn about the property, it's understandable why reservations are needed one to two years in advance.
