I need to do some damage control on a few things reported on this site. I am an interior designer that has worked for this managaement company for many years. Their attention to detail surpasses any property in the Northwest. Living at the Metropolitan is more like living at a 5 star hotel. It's impeccibly clean, absolutely beautiful and, of course, has written rules tenants must follow to be considerate of others safety and rights to a quiet, peaceful home. I am planning on my own Mom living here. It's a wonderful place to live.
Are these people living at the same place as me???. I dont understand what these people are talking about I have been living here for almost a year now and will be re-signed a new lease. The staff that works here is extremely nice. I do NOT believe the person that made the comment about the toilet not working for 3months. I had a light bulb bunn out and called the office, they changed it ou tthe same day. The other residents that live here are all friendly and I have never heard any complaints about the staff, building or any other issues. As far as "broken" amenities. I have never not been able to use anything. I love living here and have let all my friends know about it!
Poor construction, threatening staff, broken amenities.
The office staff is rude and will threaten you, and the owner will block you in the parking garage to save walking ten steps, or worse, create a parking space on a blind corner requiring you to drive into oncoming parking garage traffic to get out while other residents race into the parking garage. Almost been hit several times because the staff is too lazy to clean out the bottom level of the parking garage to create extra parking spaces. Which is odd, because they could charge for those spots and they will do ANYTHING to get your money, including lie, cheat, and steal. I'm working with the BBB right now.
Poorest quality construction in Tacoma; rippling carpet, fake countertops peeling off, broken appliances, cracks in walls and ceiling; and the place is two years old! And, they will try to charge you for these things! Horrid customer service, that is, when you can get them to listen to your problem, because they are only interested in your money.
And don't plan on taking advantage of all the amenities they list; they're constantly broken or stolen and they are too cheap to replace them.
what happened to customer service. i have been living here for 3 months now...and for 3 months the 2nd toillet hasn't worked and now the master bathroom toillet is not flushing properly do you think we could get someone up here to fix it...no. like i said for 3 months the toillet has not been working...their response...do you have a plunger?? i shouldn't have to plunge my toillet daily!!!!!the front office girls are not hired based on their intelligence and they definitely were not hired for their customer service because they do not have one ounce of that, i think they are just there to look cute, not to actually work. they will smile and tell you what you want to here but nothing gets done about it! all the amenities they offer you really can't get to because everything is locked and practically offered under constant supervision. thats just a couple minor complaints the list goes on i just don't have the time...
